On the recruiting front, we’ve long maintained
Alabama and
Oregon were the teams to beat with Stepp but he just took a pair of unofficial visits to
Tennessee and
Georgia and raved about both trips.
“The Tennessee trip was great,” Stepp said. “I really enjoyed talking with coach Heupel, that was the highlight of the visit for me.
“He was very approachable and direct about how he sees me fitting into the program. I like how he has built a family-oriented culture there as well. The players and coaches all seem to connect really well and my family all really enjoyed the atmosphere there.”
Stepp said development was another plus from the visit.
“The facilities were great and they have a really strong strength and conditioning program,” Stepp said. “The coaches talked about developing the players on and off the field. It’s not just about football, they want to develop you as a person too so I really enjoyed myself out there.”
