How do you fire a guy that just beat the #1 team in the country for his 8th win of the season...and is just one year removed from winning his division?

Simple. You have a senile, delusional twit at the helm of your athletic department.

An announcement regarding the future of the Arkansas Razorback football program has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the Raymond Miller Room located in the Broyles Athletic Center University of Arkansas Chancellor John A. White, Men’s Athletic Director Frank Broyles and Head Football Coach Houston Nutt will be in attendance. University of Arkansas officials will not offer additional comment prior to the announcement

kind of vauge.

Because arky wants to just start clean after the mustain/malzahn disaster. again though, I don't see how the mustain thing was his fault. That blood is on Frank Broyles' hands, who is of course is on his way out as well. This way he comes out smelling clean. The great arky fans took it all out on Nutt though.

If I'm not mistaken, McFadden announced early this year that it would be his last at the collegiate level.

Well, we all know who's going first in the draft this year!

It's a middle-of-the-pack SEC program. I would think that Nutt's accomplishments there would have been enough to keep him in Fayetteville.

Thats crazy, and you guys think our fans are rough, if we had that fan base and AD PF would have been gone after 2005 for sure

That is what I will remember Houston Nutt for.

Broyles leaving on Dec 31 will be the best athletic dept move Arkansas has made in years.

A good friend of mine who works at Ole Miss made a good point - similar to when they fired Cut a few years back.

What do they expect? Cut had a 10-win season and took the Rebs to bowl games four of the five years. Does Ole Miss really think they're going to win championships? Obviously the Coach O hire turned out to be swell. Same with Arky. Do they really think they're going to do better than they've done since Nutt took over?

Delusional applies not only to the AD but also to some of the fan base.

How awkward was that situation? It was tough to watch
