There's always one or two posters from every team we play that are great, and usually stuck around for a while afterwards. But as you stated, most begin to wear out their welcome around this time of the week every year.
I've heard it could be uproots of 20-30 thousand. Won't mess up the checkerboard, but with the hype around the team, and being a top 25 traditional power matchup, this might be the most traveling Sooners for a road game ever. The whole "Booooooomer" and "Soooooonneer" thing will get old quick, too.
Not sure if anyone else has visited the sooner forums, but volnation is more than hospitable compared to those a$$hats over there.

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that no tickets were returned. They were only $105 so not even as expensive as texas tickets. There will be more fans than most who post on this thread want. I'm here because I have wanted to see Neyland since the 70's. I am puzzled as to why most posters on this site have such contempt for Oklahoma and our fan base. It might be that you don't realize how condescending most of the posts are. All fan bases have their fare share of young caustic posters, but very few show any respect for Oklahoma football or their fans. I am obviously not a young buck if I remember Johnny Majors coaching Tennessee. If I had not come to Volnation I might still have my warm fuzzy feeling about coming here, but I did, so I don't. Regardless of the outcome of the game, I think I may have lost the only sec team that didn't turn my stomach.
Man I leave this board just to drive over from Nashville and things go to hell in a hand bag. Sitting on the houseboat now and I can hardly wait for tomorrow.
I know I'm in the vast minority here, but.... Screw OU and everything they stand for. I hope the fans and team go thru 3 hours of living hell Saturday. It's nothing personal, I just want opposing fans and teams to fear coming to our stadium. 103k all in Orange sounds fantastic. Oh, and all you OU fans have your players to blame for any inhospitable behavior. They shouldn't have slammed UT fans. This is a rowdy, football living group.
And your smartasses on here have done the same for us. They're not representative of what I witnessed in Norman last year, unless everyone put on a facade. However, I love how an opposing fan comes on our board to tell us how wrongly we've "behaved" and then proceeds to do the same thing.
THANK YOU! i don't understand some posters on here saying things like: "let's make sure we show the Sooners some southern hospitality!" " let's treat them with great respect like they did to us in Norman!" Are you kidding me?? I have a lot of things on my list to do tomorrow but making sure the Sooners trip to Knoxville is fun and wonderful is not one of them. WE ARE TENNESSEE opposing fans should not want to to come Knoxville. Listen, you guys saying you want to treat them so great are the same ones that complain about how many opposing fans we have at games. If we made it hell on them then they wouldn't travel so well to neyland. Look at UF last year! There was like 500 of them. And let me add that giving them hell does NOT consist of spitting on them or throwing things. It means yelling GO VOLS in their face or calling them Oklahomos, etc..

You don't have to be rude to their fans to create a hostile environment for their team.
