Number of OU fans at game

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that no tickets were returned. They were only $105 so not even as expensive as texas tickets. There will be more fans than most who post on this thread want. I'm here because I have wanted to see Neyland since the 70's. I am puzzled as to why most posters on this site have such contempt for Oklahoma and our fan base. It might be that you don't realize how condescending most of the posts are. All fan bases have their fare share of young caustic posters, but very few show any respect for Oklahoma football or their fans. I am obviously not a young buck if I remember Johnny Majors coaching Tennessee. If I had not come to Volnation I might still have my warm fuzzy feeling about coming here, but I did, so I don't. Regardless of the outcome of the game, I think I may have lost the only sec team that didn't turn my stomach.

I think as a whole, our fanbase has been pretty respectful to OU. Sure, we have a few idiots that like to spew garbage, but that's the world we live in. I've visited some of the Sooners fan forums and I have to say the quantity of disrespect and bad mouthing is eye popping. I guess I have the same question you have, but from a different perspective. Don't let a few stupid people ruin your experience. I can assure you that you will be treated well and will leave having experienced an awesome atmosphere

You are correct about the idiots on land thieves and other boards as well. I only can speak of the Soonerfans website, and even then I reach my limit to how much juvenile bantering I can handle. No, my disappointment isn't with the obvious idiots, it is with what I think are the average Tennessee football fan. Everyone in Norman are excited about this game! You're Tennessee! We didn't get excited about alabama because we have dealt with them before and arrogance is a turn off, read texas. I guess what I was expecting to hear was you're Oklahoma, let's play some football. Maybe my disillusionment is with the younger generation college football fan and not so much with Tennessee football fans. My apologies. I wish Tennessee football a long over due return to national prominence and a great 2015 season. Thanks for your words friend. Boomer

Condescending? You just described this post. If you played in a real conference I bet you would show a little humility.

I would love for Butch to share this post with our team.

And your smartasses on here have done the same for us. They're not representative of what I witnessed in Norman last year, unless everyone put on a facade. However, I love how an opposing fan comes on our board to tell us how wrongly we've "behaved" and then proceeds to do the same thing.
Wonder if he drinks tea with his pinkie up..?

I expect that kind of comments from Missouri/A&M/Vandy/Arkansas fans, not from a fan of a team that's actually accomplished something in the sport

Sad

We gonna wup dey azz up and down your field :dance2:.Enjoy cheering for Auburn/Alabama whoever to rep your conference pride after that.

I submit exhibit A-2 of the condescending asshats who've populated our board all week. I truly can't believe anyone in the VN took this attitude last year or this year to any of the OU boards.

I know I'm in the vast minority here, but.... Screw OU and everything they stand for. I hope the fans and team go thru 3 hours of living hell Saturday. It's nothing personal, I just want opposing fans and teams to fear coming to our stadium. 103k all in Orange sounds fantastic. Oh, and all you OU fans have your players to blame for any inhospitable behavior. They shouldn't have slammed UT fans. This is a rowdy, football living group.

Im not a fan of a conference. I'm a fan of the most storied program of the modern era, and when **** gets bad I'm not chanting a conferences name or banging my chest about others accomplishment

As some have said all week you wouldn't understand the pride we have as a whole conference..so gfy Go Vols

I've been a huge fan of this board this week. I wasn't originally going to sign up, but the majority of you are a good lot. Cheers, Vols! Feels like it needs to be Saturday already!

Looking at posts from other Sooners, I'm inclined to believe it's you.

Why would we be worried about how many fans they have here? Can someone please explain to me how it might affect the game? About 95,000 Vols fans vs what maybe 10,000 sooners at most?
