I've never been one to get excited about in season rankings. It's the ones at the end of the season that matters. I've never myself seen a banner hanging that says we were ranked No.1 in December.

No need to panic at all. Tough loses are good to build character. SEC is an extremely tough conference to play in. You want these tough games to prepare these players for the tourney ahead. Some recent NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions with more than a few losses but pushed to win at all. The VOLS will get it figured out.

This thread shows how much Barnes has spoiled us. Historically we would be happy to make the tournament. Not a Final 4 capable team nor a SEC contender unless we improve immediately but still a very good squad.

A lot of "fans" forget where we were before Barnes. Enjoy the game hope for a successful season not a national championship and move on.

I was thinking the exact same thing as soon as it happened. A little 8-10 foot pull up might have been an easier look than going to the rack, but I think his mind was as much on getting to the line as it was scoring on the drive. Kid made a great defensive play.

Really tough ending for Chaz, who really is learning under fire how tough this league is and what a big step he took coming here. I think he has the right attitude and will become a solid contributor, if not the next DK everyone was hoping for, before this season is done.

Sometimes it may appear a team is missing that one piece but it’s actually there the whole time. It takes these kinds of games to finally make either a player gain confidence or a coach to try a new player and all of a sudden something just clicks.
