Nu'Keese Richardson and Mike Edwards Dismissed

My question is this: Kiffin said he would wait until they got all the information in. That was in the news this morning. Then this afternoon, these kids are gone. What information did Kiffin get in the interim?

My first thought was, they agreed to a plea bargain, where they are going to plead guilty for a reduced sentence. Jackson, probably hasn't reached a deal.

I don't understand those who are saying that JJ should get a break (he was in the store, etc.). First of all, the witnesses all say he was in the car. But even in the best case scenario (that he didn't know what the other two were doing), he still drove off with them after watching them commit a crime and stayed with them for 30minutes until the cops came. That makes him an accessory and an accomplice.

The whole nation is watching whether CLK backs up his tough talk -- and Janzen is the key. How can Lane defend keeping Jackson other than, "oh yeah, he's our starter." There's no other way to read it. If he was buried on the depth chart he would have been given the boot just like the other two. Jackson's punishment is the only one that will make a statement about Kiffen's commitment to serious team discipline. He will lose all credibility if he allows the "look out" man with a recent failed drug test to remain with the team.

What a waste. To be blessed with such talents and throw it all away on a careless act is so childish. Glad to see them gone for good.

I am sure it will get worked out. Kiffin knows more about all this than we may ever. If JJ stays he needed to if he is gone he needed to be gone.

So JJ is now the "look out man":no: WOW Just wait for some true facts please people! :banghead2:

Just guessing here but I would bet the decision on JJ will be heavily influenced by whether or not the charges are dropped.

You know no more about this story than any of us. Give this some time to play out and stop jumping to conclusions. If Jackson is guilty, he will be gone. Book it.

I think that you are likely dead on. It's sad that these guys threw away everything that they had worked for, but they made a choice that they're going to have to live with.

These guys were the easy choices for Kiffin - they weren't likely getting off the hook so that they could come back. It will be interesting to see how Kiffin handles JJ. THAT decision may speak volumes.

.......

I knew a lot of this has been alleged. I did not know that it had been confirmed. Source please?

Very very true! If he is charged then that is enough for him to be gone if not charged we will wait and see. This staff will do the right thing! :good!:

Eh, nice knowing you guys. Nuke, you could have been something special. I hope you injoy PMITA prision.

The only correct thing to do! Way to go Kiffin. . .now let's hope that this kind of "Thug" mindset is behind us!

J.J. better have a good reason to be allowed to stay. If he's in the car he most probably knows what's going on! What's the difference if he's wearing a black hoodie or standing off to the side!

Rumors were that Richardson was leaving at the end of the season. So, he'd have been a loss anyway.

At least Kiff gets to send a message and create the appearance of a zero-tolerance disciplinarian in the process.

They're probably waiting on the results for JJ's drug test. Then with his 3 or 4th failure, they suspend him for rest of season, he gets drug treatment, and one more chance. I bet his dad is beside himself!!
