As other have said Kiffin really didn't have an option here. You preach discipline and someone doesn't just step out of line, but apparently loses their mind and commits a felony? He has no choice to keep them whether or not he wants to.

Let's all hope these young men (including Jackson) can learn the difficult lesson here and perhaps change the direction of their lives.

The fact that JJ was quickly repped by Don Bosch makes it clear that UT wants to keep him and is trying for damage control.

Conflicting statements and questionable witnesses create an expectation of reasonable doubt, so JJ will probably get a pass and return next year-- maybe even for a bowl game.

Good call. I think there isnt enough nfo to dismiss jj YET! but if more comes out Kiffin has got to at least suspend him into next season.

Smart play. If by some miracle Vandy pulls the upset, the Vols can hit the panic button and play JJ against KY to ensure bowl eligibility.

I hope we get over the Ole Miss game and beat them like a drum but thats why they play the game. I think we will be fine and win out. :rock:

I know everyone might bash me for this, but I had Nukeese as a friend on Facebook....He has removed me as a friend....When I went and found his page, he has now removed all of the Vols players from his page....Looks like several peeps might have been alittle pissed at him.....

If nothing else it shows Kiffin makes no distiction between his recruits and the older guys. I think the team draws closer & finishes strong!!

His FB friends will be the last of his worries if he winds up in jail.... Which he should if the story can be taken at face value....

Ever since Nuke's been dropping punts and bein all slowz in the open field against Auburn players, I knew he was a bust... we're not missing anything.... recruiting bust of the century in that clown...

Also, remember when the "starting to think I made the wrong decision...." facebook post from Nuke was argued on here just before the Florida game? Many people blasted me when I said there was no way he was talking about cutting his dreads but that it was more likely he was referring to his decision to sign with UT. It’s now obvious he WAS referring to his decision to sign with UT… plus, doesn’t he still have his dreads anyways?

Well, after his shenanigans over the past few weeks, hate to say I told ya so. I knew it then that this guy was a lost cause.... glad to see him gone and I hope they throw the book at him for all the crap he’s put CLK through...

It really wouldn’t surprise me if he purposely brought Janzen along KNOWING he was the prize recruit of CLK and knew he would pull this crap knowing it was likely all three would get kicked off. He probably thought just because it was a BB gun he wouldn’t get in that much trouble and he would move on with his life somewhere else. Seriously, WHY ELSE would you try to rob 2 bums in a 94 Mazda Mirage with a different color bumper? Maybe I’m making the mistake of trying to rationalize that event…. who knows.

This could open the door for another one of those top receiving recruits to get in with the Vols. Nuke wasn't a bust yet, but he sure wasn't as impressive as we had hoped.
We will miss Edwards in the future, though.
Still, I'm so glad Kiffin let them go. We can't tolerate that garbage on our team.

The questions now is.....Does he have to stay in Knoxville until his court date since he is out on bail for the felony offense?

Can't we like petition the court to let him go back to Pahokee? He needs to get out of Knoxville ASAP.

If i were him i would delete ever "fan" that i didn't know, last thing you need is a bunch of idiots posting on thier calling you every name under the sun as if they are holier than thou.

Same here. I'm not shocked though. Most of his friends were probably Vol fans anyway.

Yeah. I'm not too worried about Vandy. This is not your usual scrappy, play tough for 3 quarters against good competition before lack of depth catches up to you Vandy squad. The only game that they even put a scare into a decent opponent this season was at South Carolina. Then again, I never thought I'd see a UTK team lose to Wyoming.
