Nukeese at QB

He's quick off the cut but his straight line speed is alright, in terms of say a Jeff Demps or Harvin. At least that what I was told when he was being recruited for UF.

Who gives a flip about Florida. Go home troll..
Gop VOLS!

He's not a troll. He's a "closet Vol".

Haha, that would almost make sense since I was at the game this past weekend without a dog in the fight and will be up there again this weekend due to my girlfriend being a poodle-lover.

I have a deep hatred for "all things gator", but "dower" has never bashed the Vols that I have seen and I'd rather see him on here than "posivol".

Must find this posivol character.

I'm going to go ahead and warn you, reading his posts will cause you to have a headache due to the lack of premeditated thought. It really is disappointing to read some of that character's posts. Pop some aspirin then go searching for that character, if you must.

We get 41 yards with Nukeese at QB from the get go. Then we had a total of 9 yards through most of the first half by Crompton. Why don't we just put Nukeese in at Qb? He was a pretty good passer in highschool if you watch his film. We would atleast have a running option with him behind center. I wouldn't have us run your standard offense like we do now, maybe run the wildcat 70% of the time, and a regular offense 30% of the time. But keep Nuke in there. He would be capable of throwing a limited number of times.

I just don't understand how we don't try and switch something up. Obviously its not working right now. The reason I start this thread is because everyone is hating on Stephens, saying he is worse than Crompton. So here is another option.

Cause Kiffin is a classless moron.

For the Nu-Gun, G-Gun, etc. to work on a regular basis, you have to throw the ball out of it every now and then. I'd like to see it a little more often, but I'm really not sure how effective it would be.

We should blindly follow CLK, no questions asked. Otherwise, we're a bad fan...

We have a coach that is stubborn to the point of losing games.

All the "I'll be happy as long as the team gets better" people should be piling off the wagon. This team is not being coached to its potential in any area. It's been a slow regression. I'll let the defense off the hook since their's is due to injury. But the offense and special teams are looking worse every week.

ST had a bad game, however they are not getting worse every week. Remember, UT had some good returns against AU, so the entire ST play was not bad. The passing game has been slowly improving in the last few weeks. The run game has been solid, but in my opinion, we haven't used it enough. Kiffin is wanting to pass to set up the run, like he did at USC. Due to our QB situation, I think we need to run it as much as possible and throw Nukeese in the gun about once per drive. I'm not saying we should run it every down, but I think I our offense should start with a heavy dose of running each game. Call some play action and throw a swing to Hardesty or Brown out of the backfield. Brown has proved he is a great receiving back out of the backfield. I'd also like to see us run some toss sweeps to Oku, but I can't have everything!

We're starting 2 walk-ons and a converted TE on the OL. We've struggled to keep our WRs healthy, and the ones who have played have sucked out loud.

I have noticed a steady improvement in Crompton's game. If the receivers don't drop 6 catchable passes the other night, he completes 60% of his passes without an INT.

But don't let any of these facts get in the way of your bias against Kiffin. He is doing the best he can with the pile of crap your boy Failmer left him.

You are watching a different UT team - you got some old tapes your viewing? This team is progressively getting worse. To say Crompton is showing steady improvement must be a joke. He hit two AU db's between the numbers and they couldn't catch.

The fact is AU came into our house and beat us with a very mediocre team in terms of talent. The UF game was a talent discrepancy, the UCLA and AU games were examples of being out coached.

And whose fault is it that the WR's that play "suck out loud" as you say?

We have a QB that is throwing the ball 40 times a game and two RB's that average 5+ YPC. Something is wrong with the game plan.

You are just pissed like me, but Crompton is playing better. Take away half of the drops and he is near 60%. The bottom line is on the offensive line we are not very good with our injuries. Vlad and McNeil out is really hurting our qb play. No ints in this game were big for Crompton, but we need to lean heavier on our run game imo. We also greatly need our bye week to get healthy... but we have a shot a UGA as our system will match up well against theirs. Been to seven straight losses now, terrible.

Take out the last drive of the game, and he's piss poor.

I watched the first half of the game again at lunch today, and it was down right awful. Everyone forgets about his fumbled snap early in the first. That was completely his fault, he just drops it. He also threw an INT that the DB just dropped, early in the first as well.

If you cancel out the pass to stocker in the first quarter, Crompton is 2 for 11 for 9 yards. NINE YARDS.

Fair question. I honestly couldn't say. Maybe top to bottom THIS year.. the PAC 10. they are pretty competative overall. But I think college football in general is down from last year. I mean florida gets all the press.. and they haven't destroyed ANYONE of real value. Yet they hang on to number one. Why? Because no one else has really done anything to move them off. (except maybe Bama) And they (florida) will win the majority of their games because their division is weak. So on goes the gator wet dream. Personally I think Miami would kill the gators... and think Harris will play QB on Sundays in a couple of years.. that's for sure.

I agree with most of that..........I think we will see who the real teams are as we are now getting into the meat of all the conference schedules. LSU vs. FLA and Okl. vs TX will be the begining of some telling games.

Facts + Logic doesn't work too well here.

Didn't you see, Crompton was awesome, 259 yards, 2 td's, and 0 ints. Don't look to much into the 5/17 for 25 yards while not in a hurry up offense, or the fact that there was 2 or 3 dropped ints. We must stick to the template. It's the WR's fault. oh and though we haven’t seen NS play under this offense, JC is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better, even though CLK said it was a tough decision. Something isn't adding up... :eek:hmy:
