Should the nuclear option be used to open up the government?

Bro. The military answers to Trump. If he doesn't want to pay them they need to suck it up. Trump needs people who are "all in" no matter what. <- literally what Trumps appointees are telling us.

Are you filling in for Septic during his absence? You're getting to Huff and Nash level idiocy.

Nah. But nothing I said is wrong. Military cant quit. I hear daily from DOT how we need people "all in" so pay shouldn't motivate us. Lol.

I know the military can't "quit" but they can sick call the f^ck out of it. IMO the contract was broken the day the paychecks stopped.

It's no more we less an Idiocracy than it was just a few years ago. The only thing that changed was the letter associated with the name.

There isn’t a hardcore American who puts America first who would be ok with our military not being paid.

Probably why Mellon donated 130 million and the military accepted it.

In my perceptive the ranking goes God first then military. Soldiers willing to risk their lives for my freedom deserve being paid even when no one else is.

…..well maybe not the Air Force 😂

I have problems with citizens making donations to military. It's not his army, shouldn't owe him or anyone else any favors.

Finally, we get to the point of the shutdown. Reducing dems to a place of complete irrelevance and passing whatever legislation trump wants will happen without the filibuster. If anything Schumer and the dems seem complicit in expanding the power of Republicans by going this route.

Have I missed something? In every other previous shutdown, didn't federal employees get paid for the "time off?"

I understand those living paycheck to paycheck the shutdown still causes problems, but if they are going to get paid anyway they're not losing any money.
