I'm in chicago in a class right now. I watched the news last night, and they covered northwestern for about 15 seconds. I don't think their fan base cares as much as we do...

I saw that too. About the only thing I could think of is that they've got to use another schools accolades because they haven't had any of their own. Seriously has there ever been anybody from NW to accomplish anything signicantly at the next level

You're right. There isn't. I've lived in the Chicago area for 35 years now. No one except alums give a crap about NW. If they had any tradition of winning that might be different but they don't. All time win loss record is something like 514 / 644. There are so many people around here from other Big 10 schools that have a good tradition (UM, MSU, Wisconsin, etc). No one is going to become a NW fan if they didn't go to school there.

NU has the second smallest alumni base in Chicago outside of PSU, and like you said, Chicago is the post-graduate haven for big ten graduates. Saturday's in the fall are awesome - every single bar is dedicated to one B10 school or another. The bars are SLAMMED at 9am, and everyone is rocking their school's colors. They also have bars for schools of most other conferences too.

But, if you grew up in Chicago, especially on the South Side, you're most likely an ND fan. Just is what it is. I wish I could say people gave a **** about NU, but they don't. Oh well, it's one of the bad parts about being a small private school that draws it's students from all over the nation.

That said, NU is a much, much better program than Vandy right now.

Totally agree with what you said. I'm not slamming NU (as you said, is what it is). I actually do follow the program and have gone to a few games. I have a lot of respect for Fitz and the job he is doing. And NU is a much better program now than Candy.

Love that you're a sox fan. I'm as diehard as diehard gets. That said, that team and organization is a complete dumpster fire

I know one thing, they are equally as proud of their team. The SEC hate runs thick on that site and they hate star rankings for recruits also. LOL. I personally think this is going to be a good game, but I hope we smash them. We have some arrogant fans, but those guys are ridiculous.

I am 6'3, 265 pounds, 3% bodyfat. I squat 600 (for 10 reps), 500 pound bench, and 675 deadlift. Goatee, crew cut, and old spice. I just finished my workout, took my post workout supplements, did a few poses, and wanted to post on here after a few years off of working on physique.
