Nsd...big disappointment

You know, I was hoping that the last three years would have at least tempered some of the arrogance of some of TN faithful. How can three straight top 15 classes, all done under different regimes, be thought of as anything but an incredible success. Yes, we couldn't persuade Dawson to forego the team of the decade in USC to attend a 6-7 TN team and couldn't lure a guy who lives 15 miles from Auburn to forego the national champs for TN. How in the [bleep] is that an indictment on a coaching staff that has put together two straight Top 15 classes coming off .500 seasons?

Top 12 Class after the LK debacle, trying to build a program will take more than more class. Whomever you are, you better look at the stats a little closer, the successful programs are the ones who keep 70% or > of the classes from each NSD. Not the ones that have to hire lawyers every 3 months for whatever 5* decides to break Team or School rules. This is a great class of recuits. We will look back at this 2011 class as the starting point of UT's climb back into SEC elite. If you look at Scout, Rivals, ESPN 247 etc....they all evaluate players differently. I like CDD process over all of them.

GBO!!!
:salute:

I bet you could go back and pull up a bitter "Where's the big fish??" thread from every NSD that Volnation's been in existence.

Given everything we've been through, this was a good day and I'm DAMN proud to be VOL! CDD knows what he's doing and this is just the beginning!!

GBO!

I didn't buy the hype of those huge fish.... I did expect to sign 1 of the undecideds..we didnt....therefore yes I consider this class good but still a disappointment because unlike every signing year the past 5 years even we have pulled a big suprise...
so go ahead pundits and say im wrong

For Gods sake man, just stop.

I'm still in denial. Waiting for that Arnett tweet "Don't get down yet guys, the surprise hasn't come yet!"

UT football has been more or less irrelevant for the last ten years, what makes you think that we have any reasonable shot at the truly elite players?

Still, with no 5* talent we are ranked at #12 nationally, #5 in the SEC and #2 in the SEC East by Rivals. While it won't win any championships, that sort of thing tells me we've got a solid nucleus for future recruiting.

Remember, we're rebuilding from the ground up here. This is a good start.

6 wins last year, and the state generally hemorrhages players to Saban. Not sure I agree with you.

They were running out of room...they wouldn't have taken Clear and probably not Richardson either at this point, depending on what Kouandijo does

Glad you approve. 10 on scout, 12 on rivals.

I agree Sir...I'm an old fart, but I do not understand this new math...10 or 12th is barely in the top 20...I can take on-line classes after...GBO!

This is how I feel about it. No truly elite players but a solid foundation and a good start...not some kind of "miracle"

I think the Arnett tweets only served to raise the expectations for today.

Hey there swivel-hips of negativity, the last time i checked the vols weren't considered the prima dona of college football in this country. Maybe I have missed something that you in your infinite negativity have seen. For us to land a top 15 class this year can not be seen as anything less that monumental. So, my negavol friend, go back and crawl under your limestone shelf and bad mouth some other program. With what we had to offer recruits this year, I think CDD and his staff did a magnanimus job.

Support the Vols or go away.

This class could win an SEC championship.
