Good point. Saban makes a pile of money and look how he’s trashed Alabama's program. Disgraceful.

Nice things cost money. We are not going to hire a champagne coach on a beer budget. We have gone the cheap route three times in 10 years, and still don’t appear to have learned our lesson.

It's amazing more people don't get that simple fact. If the coach wins and brings us back to elite level, what price is too high?

I'm thrilled that a coach on Gundy's level is listening and considering the position - who's to say we'd be better off with Peterson? This guy has been a consistent winner at Power 5 school. Let's just hope it happens.

They are #2 in the nation in total offense this season. With just their offense we'd have been 10-2 and 6-2 in the SEC this year.

The fans will pay, idiot. Everyone associated with UT will pay.
On top of that, we may have ANOTHER looser of a coach that will walk away laughing with millions in his pocket just like the last three.

The rumor that we are paying $8 million for Gundy is their only ammo against him. He is an absolute homerun. Just filter out the noise.

That’s 4.5 loses a year.

In 13 years, only twice has he had less than 3 losses in a year. Paul said he can’t win the big games and is 2-11 vs Oklahoma. Worthy to be essentially the highest paid coach IYO?

Why is Gundy worth twice as much as the guy who knows Saban like a book? 8 million plus assistants. Give me a break. Gundy is just another one of those PAC 12 coaches who meet their Waterloo when Alabama comes calling. Kiffin is listed as one of Arkansas' targets.

What is better, pay 8 mill for Gundy or pay less for lesser name and risk another tenure similar to Dooley and Jones? I kinda think he is using us to get raise at OK State, but if we actually do hire him, it would be better than what we almost hired in Schiano.

Scenery much better. Change of seasons much better. Really comes down to Gundy being ready for change and the wife/family being onboard with it. The money should be an absolute clincher, but something tells me Pickens will sweeten the deal enough to keep him at OSU.
