This is the bottom. I think most of you agree. The Vols should win out (I hope Bray is back) and improve going into next year. In all the many years I have watched UT football, is some ways this is the worst I have seen. There are bright spots, but they are generally eclipsed by the glaring needs. Dooley will get the Vols back to being relevant again.

I hope this makes some of you feel a little better about the situation.

I'm afraid you may be right. Almost every week for a month now, people have been saying "this is as bad as it gets". Given that there's a good chance that Vandy may beat us by 20+ points on our home field next week, I can only pray that that will truly be the bottom.

I agree with the general theme of your post, although I seriously believe we will lose to Vandy next week. We have some massive leadership problems on this team and Vandy is playing more like a "team" right now.

With that being said, I think we beat UK, end the season at 5-7, get some JUCO's and beat the ever living crap out of NC State in Atlanta to start 2012. Dooley needs to seal up this recruiting class.

Really? Because there's a good chance we lose to Vandy, and the absolute gnashing of teeth that will happen will be too much for the volnation servers.

1 more year and this team will have the depth to be competitive,Dooley still has not proved he can coach in the SEC.No more excuses next year,WIN or go HOME.And thank GOD Hamilton is not here for the next HC hire.

When we hired Dooley I was like who the hell is that guy WTF are we doin,then I guess he grew on me with the CLASS he brought to our program.I would like him to pan out for us,but bottom line he is on the HOT seat no matter what he does these last 2 games for next year

When we lose the next two games, that will be the bottom. And if you don't think it's possible we get skull****ed by Vandy and then UK beats us you're not thinking clearly.

When we are losing our next best player due to injury every game, more than likely your not going to see improvement, not being a smarts$$ but if we had all of our stars back then I think we would see improvement, not the case though.

Next week we lose to Vandy and miss a bowl game. It will be a huge disappointment. Unless Dooley makes some staffing changes in the off season and focuses on the fundamentals of football during spring and fall camp, we will still be a poor football team with an occasional flash of brilliance. You cannot win football games unless you can handle the fundamentals - tackling, blocking, running - three things we have not been able to master all season.

It pains me to say it folks, but the Bama fans may be right; Dooley could be our Mike Shula... And I really like the guy

At this point, if I were Mike Shula, I would be offended by people making that comparison. Shula actually won games in the SEC every now and then. DD just gets embarrassed every time his team sets foot on the field against SEC competition.

Its easy to see that the team "Quit" tonight. Its Sad that our boys gave up. I know that Arky is more talented and has more experience, but damn, getting beat like that sticks with you. You could see if in their body language. They didnt want to be there after about halfway through the second Qtr. After halftime, they just went through the motions.

Its tough watching what kind of product that TN has on the field. Tough

It seems like the players don't understand that they are the ones who can make a difference in not getting massacred like that. Their body language sucked tonight.

Im sorry but if we get beat by both vandy and kentucky this year then I dont think there should be a next year for anyone on this staff
