I didn't think our jerseys could get any brighter orange than they already where...I was wrong. When I'm watching a day game on my plasma tv, I feel the need to shield my eyes.

I noticed this too since we first unveiled the new jerseys. I don't neccessarily have a problem with the jersey or the color of orange. I kind of like the new jerseys. But it needs to match with the color of the helmet decals. Either lighten the decals a little or darken the jerseys a little.

On TV, the jerseys were orange but had a yellow tint to them while the pants and helmet decals looked like an OK State color orange. My girlfriend who isn't even a football fan made the statement, "Tennessee should make the oranges the same color." She thought the two different oranges was same kind of tradition.

not even close to matching the helmet trim. jerseys need to be deeper orange. looks like crap !!! :unsure: :unsure:

I agree, I think Nike is for surely better than Adidas. However, I am sure all you guys know that it's all about money.

No. I totally agree with you. The other thing that caught my eye this yr was the power "T" at the 50yrd line. It looked neon orange all year and was very noticable compare to the checkerboards.

I would prefer darkening the jerseys. Obviously, that would help translate to orange over yellow on TV. At any rate, the helmet and jersey colors should be close to an exact match.

On HDTV the colors were WAY off...

Exactly how is Nike "better" than Adidas, Reebok, UA etc? Do they have more advanced jersey constructing and coloring methods or something? Is it just that the swoosh looks "cooler"? I hear this a lot and just dont get it. Unless you are employed by nike, whats it matter? I dont see us winning more games cause we have nike apparel......if the school or coaches didnt like the shade of the jersey, I am sure any company could change it. I wish the jerseys would match the color of the T on the helmet.......current jersey color is too washed out looking for me.

Lane Kiffin did make the comment that players weren't coming to Tennessee to wear those "yellow" jerseys. Maybe it's his fault...lol! I wonder if USC bought him a Lexus?

It bothers me that people were looking at that stuff instead of the ballgame itself...I honestly paid zero attention to what colors matched or what colors shoes they had on and if they matched...Damn...Is VOLnation turning into queer guy for the straight guy or something???....Gonna sing us some Cher tunes next??....I'll say it again.....Damn :clapping:

Yep you genius...you guessed it! Everybody was watching the jersey instead of the game. The thread is "Now that the season is over". It's not a x and o thread. In the words of Sgt. Hulka..."lighten up Francis". Funny out of ALL these people posting on my thread you are the one acting like nobody should have an opinion and then you comment on somebody mentioning the black jerseys. Uh no...I don't...I thought the black jerseys looked horrible and thats it...Hard not to notice them...Now run along and sort out your curtains and rugs and make sure they match the couch and chairs! :eek:lol:

I heard Dooley speak at TQC, and the topic came up. He doesn't like the yellow orange and wants Adidas to go back to the "real" Tennessee orange like the helmets. He said he stopped wearing the new team stuff and went back to stuff from past years, like that fleece pullover.

I gotta say, the difference in oranges was glaring in HD, and everyone watching the MCB at our house commented on how many shades of orange the team and staff was wearing. I'm with Dooley-- the yellow orange needs to be benched.

The jerseys are actually closer to the real Tn orange (color of the daisies on the hill) IMO. Looks close to the color on the jerseys Doug Atkins wore.

This is true, many people don't realize just how bright orange "Tennessee Orange" really is. I feel that the jerseys are closer than the decals and pants stripes.
