No - lets not make a bad situation worse. To quote Will Overstreet- " Anytime a new coach comes in , 20 % wont like him, 20 % will support him regardless what he does and 60 % are in the middle - Bad losses such as Okla & Fla move people into the negative group and they rarely come back after that " . Hard to argue with that. I still like Butch because of his energy and recruiting powers,but now I realize he has this weak side of his personality concerning letting his ego prevent him from owning mistakes. He also doesn't learn from mistakes easily as we all know after the Okie game. Given all that, he is about the best we can attract at this time. The last 2 losses would not have happened if Cutcliffe was HC. He is a great game coach and a smart cookie. Butch- not so much.

Honeymoon for me was over after 2013 loss to Vandy and I damn near filed for divorce after last year's 10-9 loss to Florida. I'm currently estranged and in serious need of couples therapy if this marriage is gonna last....I'm thinking of cheating.

Most on hear want everything sugar coated. I'm sorry but the Tennessee job is not everybody's dream job. Sorry to disappoint but the talent level had been on a decline before Fulmer left. The truth is that we had to overhaul the entire roster. That's why a lot of coaches did not want to come to knoxville. The writing was on the wall that it would take atleast 3 years. During a recent 5 year period, only Kentucky had lost more conference games than Tennessee. Butch Jones is not going anywhere. End of conversation.

And fla beat us with a worse roster and a first year coach????
