The Vols have a legit shot to beat LSU? Seriously? Wow... :eek:k:

LSU just embarrassed the same Duck team that handed us our a$$. I hate to see fellow Vol fans set themselves up for disappointment so please come to grips with the fact that the LSU game IS NOT in the "toss up" column. LSU has a veteran defense, stocked with elite recruits, coached by Chavis. If we score 17 Bray deserves considerable mention for the Heisman. I want the Vols to succeed as much as the next guy but why set the team up to fail due to unrealistic expectations. Dooley said himself that this is officially year one. Do folks really expect to beat a legit NC contender in year 1? You gotta learn to crawl before you can walk is all I'm saying.

6-6 with good showings in all the losses is all I'm expecting this year.

I had 9-3 and I'll say 7-5. It's a big loss that really screws up the potential offensive grandness. And when I made that prediction our running game didn't smell like a sewer.

I honestly see this season playing out like last year, 6-6. We were already going to have to win shootouts, now we don't have the firepower to do it.

I'm predicting 6-6. That way, if we do better, I can be happier about it.


P.S. I am not old enough to remember a UT team with more than 10 wins. (I was in kindergarten during the 2001 11-win season)

I'm knocking my prediction of 8-4 down to 7-5. The Georgia game will still be a nail-biter. Vandy will give us a bit of trouble but i'm staying hopeful!

8-4 our team can pull some upsets and our defense stepped up when it had to. we kept floridas offense out of the end zone 3 straight drives when they started there drives on our 13, 33,and 34 our defense can play with anyone!! this is not counting the bowl game.

We suck, same ole crap as the past 4 years. Our only weapon is done until next year, O-Line can't run block, and the running backs couldn't find holes even the O-line could block. Tennessee is a 5-7 to 8-4 team for the next 3-4 years minimum.

....as valuable as Justin Hunter is to the team we will be hurt more by the lack of a running game.......!

I think it's also possible we could even lose to Vandy, which would make us 5-7.

We need a serious talent upgrade up front on both defense and offense. We are pathetic on the line of scrimmage. Games are won and lost, for the most part, in the trenches. Always have been, always will be.

Until we get a lot better up front, we will continue to stink.
