What are odds the media folks sack up and gets direct with questions like the media questioned Jimmy Mac after the UF game?

I would kill to see Media ask straight up, direct questions like Mac got.

Butch, that was a tough hard fought game against Kentucky, congrats on being so competitive against what was likely the best KY team we have ever gone against....

moving forward..... what is it about Southern Miss that will be hardest to contain?"

We all know how its gonna go. Focused on Southern Miss and another loss. Then another press conference. Rinse and repeat until the season is over. Business as usual on good ol Rocky Top.

And I thought Mac was classy with his answers.
Making up death threats was disgusting, but he was classy yesterday. He acknowledged the expectations at UF and said he didn’t get it done. Meanwhile, Butch keeps trying to reinvent our expectations.

"I'm proud of our team's great effort. I think all of our individuals played as a team. I think our great team of individuals did what they were supposed to do except for execute the plays that were called. We were one touchdown away from being .500

Southern miss is a great football team of individuals. They give great effort. It's going to be a great challenge. As long as our individuals can score more points than their individuals we will come out with a win in front of our great fans. But it is going to be a great challenge."

I wonder what Butch’s pregame excuse will be this week.
Maybe we haven’t had enough players take the field for a Homecoming game in November against a C-USA opponent with a directional name.

The guy that asked if Mac still wanted to be the HC was a good exchange. Mac accepted the question and even thanked him for asking it so he had an opportunity to answer.

What's the over/under on him saying "football plays". Can't he just say "plays"? We all know they're playing football.

Yeah he came off well thats for sure. That exchange you mentioned was amazing in its class and restraint. No way Butch could handle that kind of question. He would implode.

They questioned him smiling and laughing with his wife asked him if it was a good look.

Loved his answer. "Well just look at me. I've never been about good looks."

Butch did not even answer the questions last night after the game. He went off on another thought. It makes me mad the circus of reporters want ask the tough questions. His monday press conf. only last 10 to 15 mins. That is a joke in itself. Sorry for the rant.

Footbal team, football players, football plays, football game... man this has bugged me forever too, seriously. I don’t understand why he has to ensure that we all know we’re not watching cross country basketball figure discus throwing or something. Geez.
