Now, stop blaming Pruitt...

Fla line can stop a pass rush. UT line can't stop the blitz.

Lb's and Db's very slow. WE are pathetic all the way around.

Appears all coaching areas or weak or our talent level is way overrated. Not sure which it is

for the offense struggling. It's chaney's playcalling. His pass plays take far too long to develop!
Who hired him? Who continues to employ him? Fire quickly hire slowly. He's not some newbie to the OC position.

If we’re not blaming Pruitt then who’s to blame for their players standing alone in the endzone waiting for the pasd

I’m no big fan of Chaney, but prior play calling was hindered by JG. Now play calling is being limited by having a true freshman at QB. This season is all on Pruitt.

Pruitt wanted run heavy, old style football, so guess what Chaney has to follow? He’s behind the curve as it is as a HC. That old style offense isn’t helping obviously.
Run Heavy will still work, you just better dang score tds on the majority of your drives.

This is the second OC we've let him hire. It's year three. He couldn't fix a loose screw with a brand new Phillips head
Well when you have a coach that uses a phillips on a flat head screw, what do yiu expect?....... 😎

Completely pruitts fault, he is head coach, meddles in offense and kept jg at qb all this time!

Pruitt is the one who has been playing JG.

Last I checked Pruitt is the Head Coach.

It's also clear we have 2 other QBs who are better than JG.

Pruitt is the problem. And Chaney isn't helping matters.

Yes, because Chaney was already here and Pruitt can only use the coordinators that are given to him.....oh wait...

I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t see all the talent the recruiting rankings claim they should have.... LBs?... no.... Crouch would be better served by playing rb.... DL?..... no..... TE?..... no....wr?..... competent, but nothing special.
Talent wise the Vols look pretty average to me

Times have passed Chaney by. His offense is not creative and his play calling is very predictable. With that said Pruitt "stole" him from UGA and made him the highest OC in the country.

Has the team ever revealed how much input Pruitt has on the offensive game plan, or how much he micromanages the offense?

I will say that I prefer to see passes going forward, rather than sideways.

Pruitt is a full-fledged graduate of the Mike DuBose School of Micromanagement. It is his offense. Take a look at the Vanderbilt game from 2018 when he anointed himself offensive coordinator. Pretty damn similar.

In any event, the head coach is responsible for the product put on the field and the choices he makes for assistant coaches.

It is his offense, his defense, and his special teams. He owns it lock, stock, and barrel.

What a game plan run 2 third and long throw--think that surprised Fl? Then side to side way past its time in the SEC--players at top level programs too fast---Chaney is certainly not part of the solution
Then have to recognize we do not have receivers to operate a down the field passing game--when we try there is no separation and the QBs have to hold
Shrout looked like Bailey has in garbage time in prior games
