Monte and Lane have said that they want Eric to give his full attention to mastering his defensive role...Quick Question:
With all the secondary players that we have it seems we have some great Depth in that position. Does anyone think that we might actually see Eric Berry on Offense a little this year since we have some folks who can sub in for him on some defensive plays.
Up to now, Lane Kiffin has been an energizing (more aptly put, polarizing some would say) force for Volunteer faithful.
Kiffin promised a staff to be reckoned with, and delivered.
Promised some recruiting surprises, and delivered.
Promised to raise the bar for his players, and thus far has delivered.
He's thrown some wild pitches early, to be sure. Though I'll have to admit it makes me smile to see a national championship coach bristle so at that upstart in orange...
So far so good right?... Fuh get about it... Now, well tomorrow, the rubber meets the road.
The 'to do' list is daunting.
Make clear what new expectations are, and define accountability.
Install new offense and defense and evaluate existing talent all at the same time.
Find a QB from now just 2 guys who have played at all.
Fill O and D line gaps.
Two deep the LB corps.
And these are just thumbnails... The coaches would go much much farther. I hope they do. We need it all, every detail, no stone unturned.
But the thing we need the most is for this team to quickly grasp the new material. The elements... quality staff and an SEC worthy roster, are in place. Success, even moderate success, can only come from good teaching and incredibly good listening over these next four weeks.
So little time, so much to do. A daunting task that begins in earnest tuesday.
We fans will be blessed with an opportunity to do something we've not been able to do for a long time... read about what actually happens from beat writers who will finally get to watch. Truth from spring practice will be refreshing.
I'm rambling a bit I know, but I'm truthfully really excited to see this new day dawn at last.
Go Vols!!!
Link:utsports.com... Look at the bottom..Sorry, but could someone point me to the link of the days and times we practice during spring?

Yep... after last year's spring practice, most of us actually believed we had an SEC competitive team because of the coach filter and propaganda being dished out.
This is my first post because I mainly come on here to see what you guys think about recruits and which way they may go. However, I truly believe that this coaching staff knows there is talent in Knoxville that just needs to be coached up.
The most exciting thing about what is about to unfold is knowing that we are going to see OUR team on the field prepared and knowing that they and the coaches have done everything to get ready each week. I'm sure this first year we might end up being a little disappointed about the total number of wins but I'd be willing to bet everyone by year two and/or year three we are back in the top 5 or 10 to stay. To me that is all we can ask for in the SEC and it fires me up.
That first game is going to be ROCKING because every player, fan and coach knows we are on the road back. Give it time boys because the VOLS are back!!!!!!!
