-Tennessee got in a good amount of scrimmage work tonight. Here are some things I’ve gathered tonight.
-Ramel Keyton, Malachi Wideman and Jalin Hyatt all had some nice grabs with Wideman hauling in a long one from JT Shrout.
-G was solid but wasn’t sharp early on.
-KeShawn Lawrence made a nice play with a spectacular one handed interception where he tapped the toes along the boundry.
-Was told the defensive line still wasn’t up to the expectations of the defensive staff.
-Tennessee did get a good portion of their kids back today including Wanya Morris and Cade Mays. I continue to hear good things about Javontez Spraggins who has stepped up with so many out. Spraggins is raw but he is powerful.
-In the running game, Ty Chandler continues to shine.

It was more of a hybrid practice/scrimmage than a full-on scrimmage but importantly it sounds like Tennessee got a handful of guys (but not everybody) back from quarantine. Also was told Ty Chandler was a standout and the offensive line continues to perform very well.

Good news about Spraggins and Chandler!

Hopefully “G” can be more consistent and productive. Slow starts can be a killer against good competition, such as an all SEC schedule........
G has always had to rescue us from himself at the end. He usually can’t do it but sometimes we get an onside kick or interception to help him out.

😁🤤🤤🤤..........Sweet baby Jesus, Im all for the rapture and coming home at any moment. But if by chance you're going to continue this grace period until Dec. as more souls are saved, any help you can give NCAA with making the obvious, correct decision regarding Mays would be appreciated. Amen.

Love to hear that Ty Chandler is showing out. I really hope all of this talk about Grey has pushed him and that we have a really dynamic backfield. And I’d love to see Tee Hodge come in like Jabari Davis and be a touchdown maker in short yardage.

I wonder how much of the DL criticism is due to the size, strength and experience of the OL? As last year progressed the DL improved game to game, opponents really didn't overpower or run over the DL. I am interested to hear about how the ILB and OLB are progressing over all.

So someone explain the quarantine deal. Aren't the ones that were exposed (not necessarily those that tested positive) supposed to be out 14 days?

not those who were out due to contact tracing and received negative tests. just those who tested positive. here's to hoping that number stays low. although in the national press, ut is not looking too good as a student body trying to mitigate infection/spread.

the sports programs however are like model communities on how to deal with it ($). but the coaches can't control every individual in the town who comes into contact with the players.

That was my first thought as well....the DL is going against one of the best OL in the SEC right now...so maybe they will be solid against other teams and this is more of an indication of our solid our OL is....who knows. We will find out in 16 days.
