I fixed it for her. This dumb dumb cost us one hell of a coach in Leach. At what point does she lose her job, she's just as guilty as Currie.

I guarantee Fulmer laid the law down regarding Haslam's involvement with this search before he accepted the job.

He probably told her that... but my take is she had been summoned to THE OFFICE and instructed by the Board of Trustees, with a number of state senators and representatives standing around, to gore the Haslam ox and get out of Fulmer's way.

Haven't read every post, but here's my take:

- She's out of her league when it comes to sports, and schools where football is king. She showed it in actions and words. Way out of her comfort zone when the subject is sports.
- She was smart enough to pick Coach Fulmer to fix it. She gets huge credit there.
- IMO, naming Coach Fulmer as the AD was the right thing to do.
- He won't let us down. Reset the clock. Yes, time is critical, but not at the expense of a bad or rushed hire. Give Phil a week or so. My guess is, he already has his #1 in mind.
- He might not save this recruiting class, but it won't get any worse. Thank God for JUCO's, and let's hope the next coach gets that as well. We are going to need JUCO's over the next two seasons...maybe three.. to keep us competitive in the SEC.
- Karma has come full circle. Second only to the General himself, Phil Fulmer was the best thing to happen to Tennessee football.. He is an alum, a player, a coach, and now the AD. If he gets this right, we are going to have to figure out where to put his statue.
- Today was a good day to be a Vol fan. After weeks of anxiety and second-guessing, I believe we have the right man running point for the future of UT Football.

And for the first time in a while, it's easy to say GO VOLS!!!

Can you elaborate? She didn't understand that previously? Heck, that may be part of the problem!

Gruden wasn't/isn't/has never been interested in coaching UT. He is only interested in trolling UT. When will you understand that? He has actually said that he doesn't want to coach in the NCAA.

I beg your Gruden, he hasn't said yes, and he hasn't said no with all of the Grumors.

Can envision she attends meetings that discussed meetings and decides to continue discussion in another at later time that will work for all schedules. Will direct 55 people to provide input re the content of meetings in email to 2 sub groups in email groups that need 2 meetings to determine which group each personshould be in re emails .. just a hunch

THe same Doug Dickey that spurned us for his dream job , The Florida Gators, and then we hired him back as AD? Huh, sounds familiar except too many hypocrites this time to allow Kiffin back. Also, how many Natty's did Dickey win? Fulmer is the best thing to happen in our AD in the modern era

I would assume its permanent since its been reported that he is getting a contract. Most interim folks don't get contracts.

How many contracts and fat profits has Phil already been given by UT? Had he continued to do his job as HC he could still be relevant. Otherwise cooperate without always wanting pay.
