Spurrier had many in his day and some guys in the office were talking about it and decided to do a search on here about Spurrier quotes.

Kind of funny to go back and look through the comments in this thread and see how it is now to have a coach that doesn't mind "talking."

I just hope Lane backs his talking up like Steve did.

Insulted Florida State University as Free Shoes University (after a shoe store gave Florida State players free shoes).

Imagine how hard they would come down on Kiffin if he made this comment. Those quotes really put things in perspective when you have everyone flipping out over a "pumping gas" comment. I guess once Kiffin is winning games he can say whatever he wants and get the response people give Spurrier, "Oh that's just Kiffin being Kiffin." I look forward to those days.
