First off, let me say that I don't dislike Dooley. He's a personable coach that seems to relate well to the players. So, this isn't a knock against him or a statement that he won't ultimately do well at UT.
But, I kinda wish everyone would look at the 6 games we won and who they were against. The combined record of those teams is 23 - 44 (.343).
I understand the depth issues, and I understand the just overall lack of talent. I'm not arguing that we should've beaten any of the teams that we lost to necessarily. All of that is why I don't get how anyone can necessarily love or hate Dooley. But, pretty much all that I've seen on here is tons of praise for Dooley.
I have no clue if this coaching staff can ultimately compete with Meyer, Saban, Petrino, Spurrier, etc. Yet, people just continually praise him for winning those 6 games. I just really don't get it. Anyone care to explain that? And, again, I understand the depth/talent issues, but, even given that, there would've been no reason for us to lose to any of those 6 teams that we beat.
