Agree? How be it small but we got a shot. It seems the qb can be rattled somewhat. Just saying best shot at winning we have had in some years.

Can't count the number of times a vol poster alerted everyone to the fact that UF was "hot garbage" and we'd beat hell outta the gators. Still, they own us to the point that I look at the uf game as an automatic loss no matter the rosters or rankings. Sadly, that's never the descriptor used since Saban was hired by bama. Since then they've been wall to wall 5 stars and 3 deep at every position and it's still an automatic loss on the schedule. I was there the day Dale Jones became a legend. It will happen again but most likely not this year and not with this roster. Yes, we got a shot but it's a long, long, long, long one.

If UT can avoid giving up 21 points in the 1st quarter, then there's a chance this becomes a decent game.

Also, if UT can somehow jump out to a 21 point lead early they have to keep the gas on. Don't try to milk the clock. Just score more points every time you get the ball, all the way to the end.

It is discouraging to think about but even in a down year for a Saban coached Bama team they are still better than all but 1 or 2 teams in the country. They lose a ton of talent to the NFL, have massive staff turnover every year and yet they still produce top 5 teams year in, year out. The worst of it is that Saban will likely coach, with little or no drop off, well into his 90's. Our only hope is that Bama fans are so entitled and out of that hand he decides to walk away in disgust. Of course that would mean he would have a moral center, so it is not likely.

That first Saban team which went 6-6, kicked our ass. That's why you'll never hear me boast about us winning the East that year

Bama sucks, their defense sucks and their offense is overrated. They lost to A&M who lost to Arky and only beat Mizzou 35-14

Ole Miss took themselves out of the game early against them.

As long as we don't let Bama's QB kill us with his legs we can defend then we'll enough to keep up in a shootout.

True but sadly better than any UT team in the last 15 years.

UT can't take a quarter off like they have in ever game this year if they want to have any chance.

This is simply not true... The 2015 Vols team was loooooaded with talent and one of the most dominant all season long... Of course, Butch being as useless as he waa made all of that irrelevant all season long in the biggest games at the end by giving away leads LATE... With even a semi-competent head coach that's possibly a 12-0 roster...

UT just lost to Ole Miss at home and Bamer boat raced Ole Miss. So based on this type of logic, it's illogical......

2015 Vols had several superb athletes at some key positions, but did not have depth at those key positions and no depth to keep fresh bodies in the game on defense, mixed with more importantly a totally inept head coach and staff.

We are always "loaded with talent" but unfortunately the win/loss ratio says otherwise.

UT does a couple of things well that sunk Alabama against TAMU. UT gets in the backfield for TFLs which gets bama off schedule. UT can also run right at you. Bamas front got scalded by TAMU because they just decided to run at them instead of around them

How to win against Alabama? It’s simple, score more points than them. Run the ball, throw the ball, just move the darn thing into the endzone.

Or team is better than it’s been in 15 years….. seems having fun and playing with heart was carried off the field after beating Kentucky in 08..CJH has brought that back , no today is not a guarantee win but it’s not a guarantee loss either.

If we weren't so beat up I would have a lot better feeling but it's been a tough year for injuries and we were thin to begin with. I do think it will be more competitive than some think if Hooker starts. If Milton starts we will be lucky to score IMO solely because we will be a one dimensional team
