That’s not his record against ranked teams.
See post #65. I was going with his post because I didn’t really want to look it up. Maybe that’s after season rankings but Heupel’s record (ranked at the time of the game) is 10-14 against ranked teams. That’s still not favorable.

Seems reasonable. Not sure what the problem is

Yes, my bad on that, it's actually 4-11 on last 15, not much better

He needs a good running qb to operate. Joey has been solid this year but he’s not good enough at scrambling. Oklahoma showed that if you just blitz him constantly eventually it wears him down. Lea studied the film and came up with a great gameplan. Gotta give credit where it’s due.
I disagree. Without an offensive line (and we did not have an offensive line this year) the best quarterbacks would have spent the game running for their lives. We didn't see the failures that much because eight of our games were against cupcake teams. I have absolutely NO complaints about Aguilar and, if he gets another year of eligibility, I'd be thrilled to have him for another season.

So you’re saying we lost to Georgia 2x, Ohio State, Alabama, Vandy, and Oklahoma.

I’m really not seeing the problem. Do you think we should have beat Georgia or Ohio State in 2024?
So you dont see a problem losing 6 straight big games and winning only games against inferior teams? Guess we can agree to disagree on that, I have higher expectations I guess.

You got to have the right QB. A.guy that is a threat with his legs as well as someone that can hit the deep ball.. Joey was a tire patch, he had limitations that teams finally figured out and exploited after they had seen enough film.. The QB is unaccounted for a lot of times. I think Tennessee didn't keep teams honest enough with that aspect.

Maybe we did do that because we only had two freshmen behind him?
