NOT fast or easy to hire a new HC so what questions would you ask before hiring a HC?

Much like when i conducted interviews, if they got to my desk I knew they could do the job (track record) so my process was more about how they fit into the culture and how their people skills were (indirect questions and general conversation)

If you bring a Gruden, Jimbo, Peterson etc and “interview” they will be insulted. You already should know their coaching style/ability. If you bring as Asst in or someone with very little track record that’s different.

I would ask,

"Jon, when Currie and his team came down and signed you last Wednesday, how hard did you guys party that night?"

Only a few needs to be asked

Is your name Greg the douche? Ok not you

Is your name Norvell? Ok not you

Is your name Campnell? Ok not you

Is your name Mullen? Ok we'll get back to you

Is your name Leach? Ok you got it if the next guy says no.

Is your name Petersen? Ok you got the job.

I doubt he'll ask about schemes and such..

But just to throw him off I would insert something off the wall
