I've read some articles about our situation and they almost all say we lose the next 2, then win the last 4, finish 7-5, and go to a bowl. I'm rooting for them, but with our "bad luck" moments and our lack of defense I'm not confident we beat all 4. All 4 have given pretty good teams a game at some point. My fear is it becomes evident a coaching change is needed but by then other schools making coaching changes will have made decisions and limit our choices.

4-8. They better show me they can beat someone if they want me to change the prediction.

You need to just wait until after the games and either say "I always knew we were going to lose to so and so" or "Who cares that we won? We were supposed to win!"

All depends on how they respond to Dooley after the next two games. If they quit on him, Missouri may be a toss up.

If TN had a typical TN defense, I'd say there's no way we lose any of the last 4. Since this coaching staff has figured out a way to take a decent part of the team and make them the worst of all time, 2-2 if we're lucky enough that the lack of leadership on this team doesn't completely cave.

Missouri is in the process of getting ground into hamburger meat. They are seeing first hand what life in the SEC is like. By the time we get to them, hopefully they won't have much left in the tank.

You seriously think 0-8 in the SEC? 4-8 should be we beat Troy and lose to all the others....really?

Could well be that our record will be 5-5 when we play Vandy. After what happened after last years game, I imagine Franklin and the Commodores would relish the opportunity to spoil the Vols season. A loss could cost Dooley his job.

Glad to see more realistic posts on this thread. Looks like more folks are starting to realize the team is not much better than they have been in the past few seasons versus SEC competition.

The facts are that if this defense continues the same trends for the second half of the season that has already occurred, it will go down as the worst defense in Tennessee football history. Look it up for yourself. Even the media is now talking about it. The possibility is high if major changes are not made because they cannot seal the edges on runs or cover the slot receiver and TE's. When they see more sprint option offenses after Bama, which is what USCe, Mizzou and Vanderbilt run a lot of; they had better have those problems fixed or it will get ugly. So 4-8 is not out of the question. I think it will be 6-6.

4-8 is completely out of the question. Some people are going way too far with this.
