Not a single person picked UT

Plus, our guys still feel the sting of the past 2 years, knowing they had the game won, but let it slip through their fingers. You know they have been thinking about this game since last year.

Florida, on the other hand, has no respect for us. They believe they only have to show up, and they have the game won. That's a recipe for us to pull this off.

How do you know their D is elite?

Based on the stats they look elite but you have to consider who they have played at this point.

Boston College actually did a better job defensively against UMASS but then couldn't stop VT.

Kentucky had a host of issues - interceptions and such.

Tennessee needs to be patient offensively and not force things and take what is given, which honestly is how they have been playing when the offense has been clicking.

I don't understand the Florida love. Yes they are 3-0.....against teams that went 9-27 combined last season. We have played much tougher opponents so far and it will show on Saturday.

On Championship Drive or CFB Daily. Several comments on our lackluster performances against App State and Ohio. No one believes missing LDR will matter for Florida. This is just sad. Only way to change the perception is to go out there and win this thing Saturday.

I don't pick UT either. We have played like steaming garbage except against Va Tech

Let's just face it, this team has regressed, and it all on the coaches..

That's damn true.

Its hard for me to comprehend how it couldn't be. Was NW just that bad at the close of last season or did we do absolutely nothing over the entire offseason. Its overly frustrating to say the least.

My sympathies, because it seems you will lose sleep over it.

because they are actually swimming in the right direction and getting better.

Tennessee is regressing and treading water or completely drowning.

How? Everyone will pick Florida even game day in our own back yard.

all that pre season hype everyone was so excited about. plus FL has done all the trash talking. it's at home. they have a back up qb.....they were picked what, 2nd or 3rd in the East? they were unranked pre season. oh, and they've won 11 in a row already. CBJ is 0-3, their coach is 1-0.

and then there's the fact that a vast majority of pundits and fans have circled this game as "the game".

and it's the 1st of a our 4 game gauntlet.

i'm sure i'm leaving something out.

but to put a bow on it, FL is definitely the one w/nothing to lose.

Florida will do Saturday what they've always done, come out and play extremely aggressive, lots of chatter, playing like its the super bowl to illustrate to the vols players their phychological propaganda they've shoveled so hard all week. It's on purpose and it's always worked. We always get their best performance, if they played against Michigan with the same mindset they play Tennessee they would not have been embarrassed. If I could say anything the roster could hear, it'd be relax, execute, be patient. And when the opportunities present themselves, and they always do, attack and score!

Your right its the game for the gators too. I don't think they want to go back to gainsville being the first team in 11 years to lose to UT.

Everyone expects or will expect UT to lose especially in front of the world. We don't have the mindset to beat florida or think we can beat florida

If Florida drops this it just as easily have a negative effect on them because their season could very well be lost the next week.

Why would anyone in the business actually pick UT?

relaxing is what got us beat last season that and a prevent call. on 4th and 40

One thing about Va Tech...If they had played the same 3 teams that Florida has played thus far, they'd be 3-0, as well.

Granted, we didn't play well at all against App State, and were not impressive against Ohio. But we dominated the best team we have played, thus far. But the team we just beat by 3 TDs, would have beaten anyone Florida has played. No, they would not beat Florida, but if not for the 2 TDs we spotted them early, we completely shut them down the rest of the game. We cannot have a slow start against UF, but if we come out ready to play, then we can win this.

I agree and I didn't pick us in the score selection either. It's just an amazing (we'll, not amazing. The opposite of that actually) turn of events. We are 3-0, but have played so bad that we went from being a near consensus pick to win the East to not a single person picking Tennessee. All in 3 weeks.
