Don't overlook that fact that I was grading the composition, not the girl. Just the fact that she's a Vol fan tells me that she's a fine human being.

Very nice! I'm sure you are very proud of your little VFL! I appreciate you and your daughter giving us the honor of reading this.

Sorry about the retards!

A proud dad posts something his daughter wrote concerning something they both love. He wants to share it with his fellow Vols because the content of the story/poem speaks to something Volnation loves.

He didn't ask for a critique so she could get a better grade. The people were praising her for her knowledge of UT and her ideas of how things will be now.

Heck, I'm a Gator and I appreciated her sentiment. Her thought on how Neyland will return to it's former glory. Pretty dang good in my opinion.

And Dad, I know how special it is to have your kids share gameday with you. God bless you both and the times you get to spend together.

Special Ed, I've brought it up to you before but I'm gonna say it again. You seriously get under people's skin by doing crap like this. The OP didn't post it on here to be critiqued by you, he posted it because he thought other Vol fans would enjoy reading it. I'm sure he is perfectly capable of critiquing his daughter's writing, he doesn't need you to do it for him. You seriously need to get over yourself.

Thank you to all those who posted nice statements. To those who wished to rain on this post, my little girl attends a writer's workshop every summer since she was 9. She has written 2 children's books, not published or anything. She loves to write. And just for the fact of it she received a B for this. If you wish to bite on the misspelling or placement of commas please remember I typed it in. And sometimes I miss things.
I just thought it would be a good read for the Volnation. And yes she wants to attend UT and play Basketball.
I would love if someone could get this to the Coach and team. As I have no clue how to go about doing it.

A "well done" to your daughter sir. Hopefully the General's hand guides us safely and swiftly to a victory on the road this weekend.

I really enjoyed this story. My daughter is 19 months old, and so far has watched every Vol game with me (as much as a 19 month old can) but this past Saturday during the game said Go Vols for the first time. Of course some would have me correct her and not get excited because her pronunciation was off, but screw it I loved every second of it. Again, thanks for the post. I thought it was really cool.

My point is that nothing worthwhile was ever achieved through mediocrity. With a little effort and attention to detail, we can all achieve excellence.

Oh, shut up. Your assignment for the night is to go write something similar so we can all give you our constructive criticism. If you don't do it by tomorrow, you've lost to a 14-year-old girl by default. How excellent would that be? Lord knows you're probably not the most gifted and imaginative writer yourself, so I'm not sure what makes you think you're qualified to offer such criticism in the first place.

Go brag about your kids somewhere else. Maybe they can teach you some tact.

Amazingly insightful writing for a girl of her age. Underneath the words lie the character traits that our nation was built upon;certainly in sharp contrast to some of the comments left by our "special" members..
