The booster I'm related too never wanted him here (that should tell you who he is). He tells me there was a group who truly believed that Gru wanted to be our coach. My guy was asked for a large some of money to help make it happen and my guy said no. My guy thought at the time that GRU would take the job if offered. He now believes that GRU was being polite to the boosters by not saying No to the job. He also says it was the boosters trying to tell UT what to do. When Gru seemed interested things got out of hand.
