North no longer enrolled at Tennessee

North signed with an agent. He can't come back to the team, even if he wants to or goes undrafted. It doesn't matter why he decided to leave, but school clearly isn't his short-term focus. It was his decision, he made it, he's moving on and so are we. I wish he could have stayed healthy and fulfilled his potential at UT and hope he gets the chance at the next level.

Potential to be a 5-7 year NFL player. All he needed was a QB who could throw the ball downfield and better health. Good luck North. Thank you for beating Ole Ball Coach.

Wish North the best of luck. It's always interesting why some players just never seem to get traction. I happy to blame the injuries. I really wanted him to become one of our all time best receivers. Just wasn't meant to be.

Without him we don't beat SC in '13, which started our comeback! Hope he comes back for the fall! If not, thank you for coming to Rocky Top!!

Let's market it! WRU...where 850 career yds and one spectacular catch will get you into the NFL!

One of the oddest non-careers at UT in my memory. A freshman year full of promise--and then two years of nothing. Always hurt and nursing some injury. It was pretty damn weird/frustrating, especially when combined with Howard's stupidity and dismissal. If North in fact has chronic back problems, he's going to have a lot of trouble playing pro football, but good luck to him.

If he has back problems he would have trouble playing college football as well.

Losing North is no big deal. He contributed very little to the team.

UT needs to focus on getting the passing game into high octane mode for next season.

He won't be invited to the combine in my opinion. He will show out at UT's pro day though. I hope he gets drafted. If not I'm sure he will get picked up as a free agent. He has talent. He just doesn't have tons of experience due to injuries.

To say that CBJ asked him to leave sounds totally absurd.... I would put more wait on him weighing options and making the best decision. And don't underestimate him calculating Dobbs downfield passing flaws more so than CBJ asking him to leave for any reason. This guy is a special talent who likely just wants to take the next step.

That's fine to have that reaction. After it's been said, why does it have to keep being used to drag a kid through the mud? He has his reasons, right or wrong, and without knowing all the details, there is no reason to hate on him for doing what he feels is best.

I don't think having that reaction is dragging a kid through the mud. I haven't seen many posters here suggest anything other than they wish North nothing but success in his future. I don't think there were many people here weeks ago who would have thought North would declare for the draft. That's why I say, it's a valid reaction.

Regardless of whatever you think about North, that guy made the catch that turned this program around and got us over that "hump". Can't say there has been a more important play in the last decade.

I won't be surprised if he gets a lot of interest after the combine. He definitely looks the part

He won't get invited to the Combine or the Senior Bowl. He will have to totally rely on his work out on campus on Pro Day.
NOt all NFL teams will send reps to Pro Days either. Most will but not all will.

Let's hope he gets drafted so that we can start our streak over of players drafted into the NFL. Wasn't that broken last year and we had none?

Yes, you are correct in that last year we had no one drafted in the NFL. This year will likely be the same way.
However, next years NFL draft will full of players from U.T.
Kamara, Hurd, JRM, etc. etc.

One of my favorite Vols.

During that horrible and nearly unbearable stretch, a few of us made the trip from Chattanooga after that horrible UGA OT loss, to see us get slaughtered by top 10 USC. That catch by Marquez (a true FR) on the last drive was truly one of the great ones in UT history. What a game! I'll never forget how the nearly 100% of the fans stayed and stayed in their seats to celebrate the win.

Thank you Mr. North for the memories. Never have seen any single receiver in UT history make as many acrobatic and distorted catches. Make us proud Marquez, when whoever signs you realizes that they got a steal of a deal at WR.

I was there and it was one of the best times of my life!!

When we did all finally leave all I remember is I was singing "IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!" along with 100,000 other Vol fans!!! I will never forget that!!!!

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!

We know about North. Please tell them to check the records for K-a-m-a-r-a, A-l-v-i-n

If he is in school, he's probably coming back. If he is not enrolled, he is probably leaving.
