North is not enrolled at Tennessee for the spring semester per knoxnews who spoke with the registrar's office and the athletic department. I know there are other threads out there, I just thought this confirmed what is already being discussed. Best of luck to you and thanks for being a Vol!

And please don't turn this into a "I can't believe he's entering the draft." I've heard plenty of that already. You have no idea of all the reasons why he is entering the draft or not enrolled. It's possible that his grades just couldn't cut it or some other reason that would keep him ineligible regardless of entering the draft or not.

Wait the registrar and all them can release information about a person's status at a university? I'm asking because I honestly don't know...I know you're not supposed to release other things such as academic records so...

I'd rather it's because of a faulty decision than he's academically deficient...personal preference. :ermm:

I hope he reconsiders. With all the talent returning, he could make great strides next season and be a much higher draft prospect...and get his degree!

Engage Maverick!

Not personal items like his transcript...whether he's enrolled or not is public information.

Not me. I'd rather him have some other reason for leaving. Even if you're entering the draft, that doesn't mean stop getting a free education. That's just me though.

We already know his grades are fine. This is either frustration with the team and injuries, tired of the rules, a hunger for the big bucks or a super-duper early mid-life crisis.

Or maybe his main squeeze graduated?

I tend to agree with a previous poster that bUTch probably asked him to leave the program to make room for a 5* recruit that Shoop plans to bring along with him.
Should we get a player of that caliber on signing day that Shoop was courting all along, then we will know for sure.
North will never speak ill of the U.T. program. I guess that somehow, somewhere a person with U.T. or bUTch connections will give North a free agent spot on a team, just as a favor to bUTch......

To be clear...you'd rather have him be flunking out?

I think "I can't believe he's entering the draft" is a valid reaction.

From all accounts, North was a good student. He was pre-law and if he made it through his junior year with no academic issues- I doubt the issue is now grades. I just hope he earned the degree.

Even your scenario was true, that doesn't mean North would have to not enroll for the spring semester. He could enter the draft, leave Tennessee next year, but continue class for free this spring. Even just having a free dorm room for 4 months is nice. There has to be something else, and I could only speculate as to what. Good luck to you, Mr. North!

He's probably going to go to some training camp for the next few months to get ready.

That's fine to have that reaction. After it's been said, why does it have to keep being used to drag a kid through the mud? He has his reasons, right or wrong, and without knowing all the details, there is no reason to hate on him for doing what he feels is best.

Good luck to MN. Without his catches in the 2013 SC game, CBJ would have not gotten that 1st crucial signature win.

I was suspicious when he was continuously held out of games and practices due to "soreness in his back," Something just didn't add up to me. Either way, I'm not going to speculate or place any blame on any party, besides, who the hell am I?

I wish him well, as he is still a very young man. Thanks for the unbelievable catches against South Carolina and Georgia!

So how many of the projected first rounders are dropping out? I am curious, and not trying to be confrontational.

One of my favorite Vols.

During that horrible and nearly unbearable stretch, a few of us made the trip from Chattanooga after that horrible UGA OT loss, to see us get slaughtered by top 10 USC. That catch by Marquez (a true FR) on the last drive was truly one of the great ones in UT history. What a game! I'll never forget how the nearly 100% of the fans stayed and stayed in their seats to celebrate the win.

Thank you Mr. North for the memories. Never have seen any single receiver in UT history make as many acrobatic and distorted catches. Make us proud Marquez, when whoever signs you realizes that they got a steal of a deal at WR.
