North injury? (Rumor) He did get hurt at practice today (8-12-15)

There is definitely no doubting the fact that he was injured at practice yesterday, and it's not minor.

The uncertainty is still around the severity of the injury and the amount of time he will be out.

"Feared lost for the season" is the part that has yet to be confirmed by a reputable source.

If he is indeed having an MRI then sure he is feared lost for the year. I have seen trainers think it's only going to show a minor sprain and it then show a complete ACL tear. Sounds like the fear is completely true

From a Dawg fan who knows Marquez is not just a great player but a solid kid, I hope the best for him. I don't care who I am a fan of or not a fan of, I hate seeing these kids go down with tough injuries like this. Here's to him getting back quick and better than before.

Maybe.. But since an MRI is used to determine/confirm any type of soft tissue injury, it could be that they suspect a meniscus/cartilage tear or something similar. That wouldn't be good news, but would likely NOT be season-ending.

I agree that it's not good news, and it's likely that he will miss some time. I just don't buy the fact that because he's getting an MRI, that means it's season-ending.

Maybe I'm just being a sunshine pumper !

I don't buy all this either

Only point I was trying to make was saying if he is feared lost for the year that isn't always the same as saying he has an expected torn ACL

Even if a trainer thinks it's just a sprain there still would be fear until the MRI confirmed it was minor because the initial evaluations by trainers aren't always correct

Whether this is a little bit true or completely true....it sucks

I hate for such a talented young man to struggle with injuries like this

I've looked all over the web, countless sites, fan forums, etc. I don't see anything credible from anyone credible regarding his injury. I'm not saying it didn't happen but I can't find it. Can someone post a link from someone credible? Js

With Butch asking media to "respect players privacy" I'm afraid we won't be getting much in the way of official confirmation of any injuries. Just speculation.

LOL .. I am a competitive SEC fan like all of you. But these kids work so hard and to have a season taken away from an UBER talented WR like North sucks for the entire conference. He needs to come back stronger because he is a first round pick if he does.

I've torn my ACL once, my brother tore his once, and my cousin tore hers 4 times. These all happened while playing sports. Every time the team physician checked our knees for range of motion, told us it looked like a tear but needed an MRI to confirm, then wrapped it in ice (reduces the swelling so the MRI is clearer). Sounds a lot like what North is going through. He wouldn't be having an MRI next morning if the team doc didn't think it was a tear.

Poster in the RF who knows his stuff said he can confirm north is getting an mri today. Guessing we'll know the severity of the injury later today

Most are like that but some are the opposite. Doc says he thinks it's just a sprain and then the MRI either confirms or shows the worst. I have seen the worst in that situation

There's nothing "credible" at the moment. Did he get injured? Yes. What is the seriousness of the injury? Unknown.

That's all we know at the moment. Other than that it appears to be a bad game of "telephone".

We still have Dobbs. Hurd and Kamara.
We still have weapons.

I feel bad for North. He just can't catch a break.
