Actually it's the Charlestonians who live in the past and are similar to the ancient Chinese. They eat lots of rice and worship their ancestors.

But I do want to clarify…..there are probably some good schools in the swamp land and I know there are some good people in South Carolina because I worked and lived beside some of them (not in Sumter though). It’s just that they were not SC fans for the most part. I will callout the fine men and women at McEntire. Hell of a group of people that have distinguished themselves for decades upon decades.

Having said that…..the mustard-based BBQ is crap except for the mustard-based baked beans which are really, really good. Throw in some lightly seasoned fried chicken and you can choke down a fairly good meal.

If I had only lived in those arm pits I would probably feel the same way. Fortunately I was born in Greenville. Four years in Spartanburg and then in Columbia for most of my life.

Does that give you some sort of bragging rights? These teams according to the record books have met 68 times. How many has South Carolina won?

Tennessee has won 51. Tennessee holds a 40 game head to head winning streak over South Carolina dating from 1980 to 2011.

Speaks to the consistency and relevancy of the historic Lady Vols basketball program built by Coach Pat Summitt an all-time great.

Congrats to South Carolina and good luck in the attempt to establish long-term greatness.

Weak sauce. SC has dominated the SEC for 12 seasons now, but Ricky says nah….rent free every day in this guys head folks.

Jesus, he is resorting to culinary topics in desperation…you can’t make this stuff up. Ricky, last I checked the SC WBB team has established several all time SEC records during their run, sometimes you tip the hat and move along. Sometimes you discuss barbecue when you can’t make a credible BB point. You are a miserably bad loser Ricky, the kid who took his ball and went home everytime he lost.

You are the only unbearable poster in my 11 years here amongst mostly wonderful folks. But you knew that, that is your MO. Ricky don’t lose that number….
