I am not crapping on anything except that the Administration has let the track facilities fall to the bottom of the SEC. I think it is fantastic that Coleman won two NCAA Titles and that he the opportunity to do the same thing next year. It is even more fantastic that he did it when we don,’t have an indoor track facility. Some posters here are complaining about out track team but don’t complain about our horrid facilities. i personally would rather defer some of the funds earmarked for the Stadium renovation be diverted to building a state of the art indoor track facility. In the past, A championship track team helped in football recruiting and probably would in the future. Look what Chuck Roe did when he was our track coach.

Very good point. When we had a national contender in track it helped our football recruiting. Hopefully Currie will provide the resources to get us back to prominence in track which will only help CBJ in recruiting.

We just did some renovations to the track here, and it's amazing. We will host the SEC championship in outdoor track in 2019 at our track. Will be a good showcase, we've come a long way, but our track program was a disgrace and is now heading in the right direction

Thats good but VolinVonore had a good point about an indoor track facility. UT should have one.

Christian Coleman was named USTFCCCA National Indoor Track Athlete of the Year on Tuesday. The coaches' association rewarded the Tennessee junior after a dominant performance at the NCAA Indoor track & field championships this past weekend.
Winners were voted on by USTFCCCA member coaches following the conclusion of the 2017 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, which were held this past weekend in College Station, Texas.
