Nominate the worst player

JH-we must be about the same age. Its one thing to know who Steve is. You gotta go deep to know O.

A couple of years ago I went over to Greensboro to watch the bb Vols play wichita st in the NCAA. Wound up at a bar before the game and ended up meeting Jeff's mom and dad. They were a bit surprised I knew who he was.

I'm 49. The day we beat Notre Dame in Knoxville (79 or 80?). Jimmy Streater was injuried late in the 3rd quarter, as I recall, Jeff is the one who came in and finished the game for us. The next year, I recall the chants raining down from the student section...O-CHITT-ski!

47. I was at that game and was 15 or 16. I actually have the Daily Beacon for that game.

Yes, that was definitely a top-5 moment on the hill for me GH. I have a lot of memories of that game. We got there way way early. Notre Dame came out, spread out and starting doing their jumping jacks. They had 60 players dressed as their traveling squad. 54 white boys and six black guys. That was unreal! Remember their kickout return man catching ball and stepping out of bounds at the 1 yard line? That was one great day! I still have my ticket stub.

I'll try to scan that Beacon when I get back to work on Monday. If I can I'll start a new thread with your name on it.

I have a few other programs from the 70s which are classics. Only problem is everytime I've tried to post them it says the pic size is too large. I'll work on it a bit.

That is the biggest surprise on VN since Kiffin left in the middle of the night. I thought you were 14 based on your post content.

to ever wear the Orange and White

We always praise the greatest, now lets show the ones that didnt live up to expectations that we remember them. Whether it be from poor play, overuse of cannabis, grand theft, early fatherhood, or love sick, let us nominate them

VN, gives us the all shame team

CountVolcula for dragging in more negativism. Does this forum know how to act as a constructive element instead of constant funneling of negative energy towards our football program?

Just tell Fade, "I'M A MAN! I'M 40!"

When I get to 40, that's all I'm going to do for the week. Anytime somebody says something to me.. I'm A MAN! I'M 40!

the pursuit of happiness

good idea and hope it works out. Thought that myself then turned 40 and my body decided to fall apart. If its not the internal stuff (HBP, cholestrol, gout) its the outer stuff (fx ankle, torn labrum & rotator cuff, loss of cartiledge in knee). This getting old thing sucks
