everyone was just using him to get a raise. Leach wasn't coming. Snyder didn't like him. Martin left for South Carolina. Currie was his own problem.

Fulmer said this in the press conference when he said more candidates will be interested now. Fulmer does carry a good reputation with former football players. His press box is very busy with former players. Majors does not carry the same respect with the former players I have known.

Also, Davenport seemed to have had enough of Currie. She emphasized that she had had a difficult nine days. Currie must have drove her to her wits end.

My son a UT student. Just talked to him. I think Davenport was forced into caring about UT football. VolNation message board is strong. I'm not a twitter follower, but, from what my son said, it has a lot of power. Davenport realized (and probably saved her job) that her choices of where her allegiance needs to lie was becoming a no brainer for her.

We now have a football coach running the AD. Fulmer proudly sporting his National Championship ring during the presser. As much bashing as has gone on about this coaching search and Fulmer love him or hate him.... bottom line - our chances of getting a really good coach just went up exponentially.

In all fairness to him. His search was done. He and Jimmy H had locked up Schiano a couple weeks before that.

Like the completely out of touch with realty chumps they were
