Noah's Ark

Nearly any major or minor religion has a flood story, and seeing as science has disproved many gods with measurable evidence and explanations, there is no reason to think that there WASN'T some form of a major flood, too many people's and myths agree on it.

Now, does that mean it was a punishment from god? Well, that's what I would say if I didn't understand the basics of how those things happen, just as people used to do with volcanoes, thunder, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.

What?

Science (a.) doesn't disprove things and (b.) can't prove or disprove mythical beings.

Honest question, why would God allow us to find the Ark in the first place? He wants us to believe in His word without having physical evidence correct? If we confirmed the Ark was real that defeats the purpose of belief and faith would it not?

Why wouldn't He?

I mean, there isn't really anything in the Bible saying God doesn't want us to see the things He did. We take some on faith because of lack of evidence, sure, but others on acts and deeds that have been recorded.

I think the discovery of Noah's Ark could be one of the more profound archaeological discoveries of the ages. Not necessarily from just a religious standpoint, but from a historical aspect of a time that we cannot necessarily connect with since there are so many different versions and ideas of a great flood.

My biggest question is about why the Turks won't allow teams to Mt Ararat to examine the site. Noah is just as much a figure in Islam as it is in Judaism and Christianity. So there is the question of why on that part.

Along with a lot of reading geology reports in Mags like scientific american and so forth. Its out there you just have to google or Bing it and start reading....

What would the discovery of the ark do to the Islamic religion? Maybe there's a reason Turkey has cut off admission to the area......

Nothing. Literally. It would have no bearing on any world religion other than Christianity.

Muslims lose their minds on cartoon drawings..... If there was proof of the ark it would provide a huge boost of credibility to the Christian religion.....by default Islam would be dealt a crippling blow..... I think the crazy MFs would riot like hell

You seem like a well spoken and well read individual. How do you logically rationalize the story of Noah?

I thought Muslims generally accepted Genesis, they just branch off at the Abraham part. They believe Ishmael was the chosen son over Issac.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here but you drop a bomb about how geologists have proven there was a global flood and say it's something they all accept as fact, then when asked for even a link, you basically say "Look it up".

That's weak sauce.

Not at all. Others will just deny that it's the ark and go on living their life.

I'd love to call you a moron but I would probably get a suspension so I will not do that.

If there were ever absolute undisputed proof that Islam was a farce discovered we would experience WW3,

Does the same go for Christianity?
