There is no way we can keep Pruitt now. Year 3 and he still looks lost out there, cant handle qb situation or any on field situation. Our recruiting class is falling apart and there is no way we will be able to recover with Pruitt

We still haven't recovered from Dooley and Jones. What's one more kick to the balls when they have already swelled to the size of a basketball?

I agree. He’s done and everyone knows it.

I’m going to make a bold prediction. Notice how all of the buzz died around Freeze.... I predict that Pruitt will be fired sometime soon after Saturday and Hugh Freeze will be the next HFC at UT (Liberty’s last game is this Saturday).

I claim no “inside” connections. I’m just throwing it out there.

Don't do this to yourself. Not sure what would make you feel confident that UT would hire Freeze to begin with.

I’m not against it at all as Freeze is an upgrade over Pruitt and I think someone who is one of the few coaches that are realistically an option for us. Getting Freeze means that Fulmer has finally done what Currie, Hart, and Hamilton never could do and that is tell the Boosters to shut up and cut the check.

I would be bigly surprised if Boosters cut a 25 million dollar commitment to make a coaching staff change with a 40-50 million dollar shortfall. But it wouldn’t surprise me if Fulmer is the one who makes it happen. Because the days of the Haslams being the final say so are over.

If Pruitt is canned they need to boot Phil as well. He gave the man a raise and an extension. If CJP would have performed well the move would be considered brilliant. He hasn’t so Fulmer has to own the fact that it was a dumb move

Completely agree. Kick Phil to the curb and hire either Blackburn or Mark Ingram (UAB AD).

Fulmer walked into a dogs!t situation after 6-8 coaches turned us down and he had to do best he could to make a hire. Outside of making himself interim or hiring the best option (and putting ego aside) in Lane Kiffin, he threw a dart at the wall and made a hire.

Regardless- if Fulmer is moving from Pruitt, it means he has booster support to spend 25 million to fire Pruitt and hire a homerun coach like a Hugh Freeze. Fulmer won’t fire Pruitt just to hire some G5 coach who is an up and comer.

Fulmer will be the AD as long as he wants. Him and Freeze actually have a relationship from his coaching days at UT and Freeze in Memphis. Wouldn’t be the worst marriage.

2 years max with a great new hire

If Bailey stays around and offense stays intact, we will be one year at most to get things moving. Best thing to have for rebuilding program is offensive coach over defensive. You can have stout defense but this league requires offense. I think identifying that has been Pruitt’s biggest mistake aka JG
