The third time in five years? Is that right? Really says a lot about the state of our recent talent level.

An agent and NFL draft analyst told me they don’t think any Tennessee players will be taken in 2019 NFL draft. That would make the 3rd time in 5 years UT hasn’t have a player drafted. Workouts could vault a Vol or 2 into the draft but that seems to be a long shot

I think the key is development more so than talent. We have had some talented people come here out of high school and not develop much beyond where they were when they came. It seems like in those years where people weren’t drafted we still had guys picked up via free agency because they had the talent but were projects due to not being developed.
I think if Pruitt can sell development that a stat like that won’t deter recruiting.
Just my $.02.

We're saving up for a big 2019 draft day! ha

Guess about every team could say this, but we'd have, 3? if guys didn't leave last year? Kelly and Gaulden would for sure have gone higher if stayed, and probably KMac too (could have used him on the OL, as much as he needed to stay)

I hope Tuttle, Alexis Johnson, maybe Kongbo can latch on with an NFL team next year. My non expert opinion, Tuttle has a chance at a late round draft pick. I hated to see that Kongbo injury. He was finally showing some on field production when he went down.

Next years draft will be a different story. Calloway, Jennings, Chandler, Warrior should all get drafted. Maybe Woody at Tight End also.
