We have no depth on defense, and our offensive depth is pitiful as well. No more complaining about Crompton for me, this team is just not the caliber that we thought it could be, even with a different coach. There's just no more reason to complain really, going to be a long 2-3 years before we are back, IMO. Just sit back and try not to get negative, because it does no good. Obviously, the WKU game score is not a good indicator, but most of us fell for the thought that we were better than we really are.

Finally. Someone who knows what they are talking about.

That's it...

WE ARE NOT VERY GOOD.

Changing qbs wouldn't fix that. Fulmer wouldn't fix it. Kiffin can't fix it. We don't have the ability to play at the level that most expect the TN Vols to be at.

When a coach takes over a program that is middle to lower tier SEC in talent right now, they will take their lumps. Fair weather fans need to take notice that in order to build something in football after being down, it takes more than coaching, it takes talent to go along with it.

I agree Eric. I don't get what is so hard to figure out. If you expected some magical turnaround, you were delusional.

I didn't fully realize the lack of talent until tonight. It showed, thanks Phil.

Exactly. I hope all the whiners don't try to celebrate with us when we start winning championships again after we rebuild the talent.

Eric you think we will continue our 4th quarter type play into Georgia?

I'm more concerned with our rushing offense not being a factor tonight at home than our 4th quarter stats. If we run the ball consistently, we win this game. We all knew that if Crompton threw it more than 15 times we were in trouble. People can say one dimensional if they want, but if the other dimension isn't making plays then it's hard to go away from something that works well.

I'm not sure what everyone is freaking out about. I was expecting a 7-5 season. It looks like 6-6 now. If it ends up 5-7 so be it. I like the direction of the program.

I thought the offense looked good in the 4th.
You are right though Eric, its gonna be a long haul.
Fairweather fans better jump off now. It's gonna take true Tennessee Volunteer fans for a while. I support my team win or lose. We will get better.

I just hope we're all still alive when that happens.

We looked bad tonight on both sides of the ball. Fulmer really didn't leave us much talent outside of Hardesty and Berry. There's always next year.

When you go against more zone than man, your offense will look better. Just ask the teams that played against the Mustang of Chavis.

BS, Auburn has no more talent than we do and they schooled us tonight. Coaching and playing!

You plan on dying in the next 2-3 years?

Losing Nick Reveiz is HUGE from what I saw tonight. There were several missed assignments that Frazier failed to line people up on. BTW, how hard is it to keep Eric Berry on the RB at all times to blow up a screen??

Please dont take my one glimmer of hope away. At least JC had no picks and threw the ball pretty well tonight. Recievers need to step up a bit.
