We came up a foot wide of beating the Gators in the Swamp. Butch has been working hard to put a team together we can be proud of and he's really close. If everyone can step back from the ledge, and give him some more time he's gonna get it done.

There's a difference in the way the team is playing this year. They are working their tails off, really showing some hustle. They have bought into the system in a way that is going to start producing wins. I wouldn't be surprised if we won most of our games the rest of the way out and went to a big-time bowl.

One tough loss does not a season make, and Butch will circle his troops around him and learn from this, and get better from it. His Christian faith will lead him and this team from the adversity we are under right now and into a bright future, so keep the faith fellow Vol fans.

A 9 year head coach shouldn't have to learn the lessons he obviously needs to learn.

So yes, this is sunshine pumping.

florida went 4-8 and lost at home to Georgia Southern.

Beating them yesterday would not have been evidence of turning the corner.

But losing to them is proof - more proof - that Jones doesn't have what it takes to win here.

The fact that the game was in the swamp should be at least a little credit to the gators' win.

We're so close. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Go Vols!

His Christian faith? Hahaha. He might as well wish for Santa to deliver wins. His faith has nothing to do with this.

Butch is nothing but a joke on Gameday. The secret is out. Media and the world are now seeing past the salesman attitude.

Butch has blown almost every game that matters...

I live on results, not promises..

Butch is done.

How many corners are there?

Georgia 2013
Scar 2013
Scar 2014

I guess those turns become null when you make a wrong turn

UF 2014
OU 2015
UF 2015

So I guess that puts us right back where we started.

LMAO at this post! A foot wide short??? BULLSH*T...it shouldn't have come to that!!! 5 minutes left in the game and UT is up 13 pts!!!

Christian faith will lead in a football game or season??? LOL. Jesus Christ himself could be our QB and Jones will some how, some way screw it up. Jones isn't the guy no matter how much you wish it or even pray it. I'll still be pulling for the boys in orange every Saturday but this coach and this staff is in over its head...Tennessee and the SEC is too damn big for them. All this fool has is his cliches, his B.S. canned and scripted coach speak...he is a recruiter, a salesman..NOT A COACH

We said all of this after OU and what has happened. People want results especially at Tennessee. We have been down for 8+ years. Those are facts and not the old "we will get them next time" or the " we will learn from this" BS. I agree the season isn't lost but Butch Jones doesn't look like the guy who will bring titles to Knoxville. I guess we should have never believed that in the first place.

Hiring the right coach will get results.

Tennessee hired a smooth talking criminal in Kiffin. Then a smooth talking lawyer in Dooley. Finally a smooth talking salesman in Butch.

They have yet to hire a real coach.

Butch can sell. Butch can recruit. Butch can deflect and misdirect. Butch can ignore facts. Butch can fold.

Butch can't coach in the big leagues. It's being proven on the field in real life. Not your fairytales that Butch sold you.

We pissed away a 2 touchdown lead against the worst Florida team since before Spurrier was hired. They're only going to get better, whereas these clowns will find it increasingly difficult to recruit talent to participate in their weekly Saturday (poop) shows.

Yep. They will come into Neyland next year and whip us.

There is a difference between whatever conference Cincy is in (AAC?) and the SEC. Butch is on a learning curve. I thought the effort against Florida was better. We at least put together a long, tough nosed, clock eating drive in the 4th when we needed it. That didn't happen against OU.

Is the curve slower than it should be? Absolutely. But the best thing for the Vols is that Butch goes on and beats uga, or, heaven forbid but we can dream, bammer, or at least wins the 6 remaining games we should win.

Many have lost confidence in his ability to do so, but there are 8 games left and almost certainly another season with Butch, so why not root for him to succeed.

His Christian faith didn't seem to help yesterday; maybe he should prayed harder for the kick to be good.
