this is the typical answer ...everyone thinks the grass is greener! Jones didn't lose against A&m 7 turnovers did. Bama is just that good. South Carolina well that one is on him. Vandy....we played D3 players at 60% of defense positions.

Butch is the right guy but we need a OC and DC change asap.

How'd the team look in every game this season? App State? First half VT? Freaking Ohio? All but 23 minutes of Florida? Need I keep going because it didn't get any better afterwards.

Butch hasn't brought the team out prepared to play from beginning to end of any game this year, except against pitiful TN Tech, who we out-talented to the point of sports abuse.

I'm not worried about the grass being greener. I know what I have with Butch Jones. I have a consistent 8 win coach. The only reason why people view that as positive is because he came in after Dooley. If Derek Dooley never stepped foot on UT's campus, Jones would no longer be employed in Knoxville. Dude they didn't just blow one opportunity this year, they blew two. Let that sink in. Here is another view point for you...I would love to see what the losses to South Carolina and Vandy cost UT $ wise. Could've been in Atlanta and New Orleans. How in the H*ll do you let your team come out flat twice with so much on the line? As far as the defense, it's amazing Shoop has been successful everywhere he has been the last 10 years other than UT. Hmmm

No he gets a 5th year because there is a 10 million dollar buyout by a stupid AD.

Other than making us look stupid for giving Butch an extension in the first place, a 10 million buyout still isn't that bad from a financial standpoint. We finish up the Dooley payments in December, and we spread out Jones buyout over 5 years. With profits being up, it's not the best scenario, but the athletic department could pull it off.

we will just chalk up the obvious bonehead coaching decisions to injuries and ummm yeah injuries, maybe medley hurt his leg and that's why we couldn't kick the field goal on 4th down. Butch was OUTCOACHED bottom line, week after week no changes we see our defense get lit up and hope our offense scores more than them.

3 deep in the roster should still be better than a starter at vandy.... I mean lets be real its vandy
I was raised that TN NEVER loses to Vandy and have followed that creed for 50 years, however, there were a number of doles sat night I would have loved to had on our roster.

Having been there and seen Shurmur pass Cutler in the Vandy record books was horrible. I would have rather had Ralph Webb run all over us. Shurmur passed for 416 yds. Dude only had 280 yds against WKU...what is going on with our secondary? Too young, lack of talent, or both?

Four 2nd or 3rd year players back there so throw out the youth.

I'd put a lot of it on incredibly poor fundamentals tracing back to a position coach who flamed out at GA for the very same reasons we have seen the past 3 seasons in Willie Martinez.

UGA fans learned to hate the guy when he was there as a secondary coach then DC.

Should Ole Miss fire Freeze?

no. Unlike Butch Jones, Hugh Freeze has actually played/won a Sugar Bowl. The two wins against Alabama is something else he has accomplished that Butch Jones never will.

It seems CBJ had a lead at Bama last year with 4 minutes to go.

Freeze also lost badly to a horrible Miss. St. team. I'm just curious about how much of their fan base is currently demanding he be fired.

That was his best opportunity to knock off saban. Worn out alabama team needing a bye. As for freeze, the dark clouds of allegations will get him fired before his coaching will.
