Currie just said that there are no plans to hire a search firm at this time... Should this be taken to mean that they already have a particular candidate in mind?

There is no search firm.

Reporter: "Will you be using a search firm?"
Currie: "No. No, not this time."

This was followed by a reporting saying "I want to make this clear. Do you have plans to use a search firm?"

He said, "Not at this time."

To me that is a great way of saying "I very well may in the future but I'm not saying it now because I know this fan base will lose their minds if I say it."

Otherwise he would say "No, I have no intentions of ever getting a firm."

I think he has his guy, someone just flat out asked about Gruden. He is def good at evading questions, as he well should be.

Good. An AD is hired to hire coaches. Always thought an AD hiring a search firm to do what is essentially his job is about as lame as it gets.

He isn't hiring a search firm nor will he need to.
