But it is just the first game of the season with many more to go. Hopefully Cuonzo turns this around and gets the team playing to the level they're capable of. Too talented to look this bad. Cuonzo should get the team motivated or else he'll be looking for another job come seasons end.

Was hoping this team would show better tonight. I realize it's just one game, but was hoping for a bright spot to bring me out of the darkness that has been football season. Blah, more disappointment from ut men's sports. This crap is getting depressing

Don't kid yourself...Xavier is not a very good team. We should have won this game by 15 points. They will not be in the tournament this year. A watered down Big East won't get as many bids as previous years. This isn't a horrible loss but it's pretty bad.

Terrible d# from the start, dislike how they let nerdy fatty score easy basket. I don't understand why Vols shooting too much behind the arc in 1st half...

CM is the biggest reason. Terrible prep and gameplan. 2 terrible timeouts that killed momentum and ended up in points swings.

How about waiting for the game to actually end? You people are miserable.

Have any of you complainers actually played any level of competitive team basketball?

Coached in Memphis...coached against Hardaway...coached against Big Al Jefferson and Monta Ellis in MS. This team has no fire, no motivation and no plan. Defensively they can't hedge and recover...or at least tonight they did a poor job. They play very lazy. I like Jarnell Stokes and I am glad he thought enough of Tennessee to become a Vol but if he is a NBA calibur player he doesn't show it...slow...slow...slow. Al Jefferson would make a midnight snack out of him. Cuonzo just doesn't have it on this level.

...especially the way they were bricking free throws. They practically handed it to us a couple times

Yes, everything you said is true regarding this particular game and much of last season. But, I'm reserving judgement until I see more.
