"NO ONE's BIGGER than the Program...even ME!" - Josh Heupel

Heupel has just earned himself a lot of respect from the CFB community with how he put his foot down on this situation. Love seeing other fans praising this move
Thai may be an overstatement, time will tell. But that’s a Saban type thing to do. Shows real character by your leader. Not comparing the two, just sayin.

I'm wondering if Danny White had a lot of input in this. I'm guessing yes
I doubt it. I’d say the call was 100% Heupel’s but with the understanding that’s $1.5mil somebody (CJH) has to come up with.

A Saban thing to do? Lol. He would have made sure all players were paid accordingly, under or over the table. He couldn’t even reprimand a player for shoving a female fan. Saban - Integrity is an oxymoron.

I would imagine there was a lot of corroboration between Heupel and White.
I’m not saying there wasn’t a discussion (I’m sure there was) but there’s not a SEC Ad that gonna tell his Head football coach that “we’re done with this guy” over $1.5mil if the coach wants to keep him. This was 100% Heupel’s call

Absolutely. I couldn’t stand Saban when he was the coach at Alabama, but I do have to respect his no nonsense attitude. Being the cool coach may attract certain kids, but discipline and no screwing around wins championships.

All those people who criticized Joe Milton and screamed for Nico should feel pretty stupid about now.

I’ve said it repeatedly on here—-Joe Milton was a good quarterback. His biggest issue was that he followed one of the best Tennessee QBs of all time. He’s a good young man who didn’t get in trouble, was good to the fans and stuck it out when he lost his starting job to Hendon. I want nothing but the best for Bazooka Joe. Even though I don’t like the Cowboys, I’d love to see him tear it up in Dallas.
