You might want to revise, just a tad anyway.

Yes, Arkansas has several option plays. And the speed to run them with better athletes than what Air Force has.

I'm certainly not saying Arkansas is going to post 300 yards rushing on the Volenteers. My point is that this is no longer a one diminsional team. If the Vols shut one thing down, unlike years past, the Hogs now have other very real options to go to.

Chivas will have to stack the box to slow/stop McFadden or Jones. When that happens, the Hogs now throw the ball well enough to open things back up. It's a balance Arkansas has never enjoyed, and why we've been so successful this season.

Arkansas led with QB sacks at 2, while Tennessee didn't get any.

Defensive advantage: Arkansas

A blocked punt resulting in a saftey gives Arkansas a slight edge in special teams. Although UT did get more punt return yardage.

In short, Arkansas can certainly pass when needed. If you looked at the Hogs passing and rushing yards, you should see that this Razorback team is perfectly capable of running a balanced offense. "Stop the run, and you stop Arkansas" no longer applies.

All this really means nothing, but it's fun to look at. It should be a very close - and fun - game.

IMHO, if the Vols gave up 165 yards rushing to SC, you could be in trouble when faced with the Razorback's running attack.

I had the Hogs going 8-4 with losses to Auburn, SC, LSU, and yes, Tennessee.

I agree. It does appear that way. However, stats are a lot like stocks.

Past performance is not indicative of future results.

What either team did against SC, does not mean that's what will happen this Saturday! But until late Saturday night, comparing results against a common oppenent is the only measurement we have.

i have said this 2 everyone we have a better team but our d cant stop the run or key downs where a better team it will be tough 2 go on the road after a tough loss

My prediction:

Razorbacks by 4-7 points. Hogs running attack will pile up about 170-ish yards. The last 3 games for us haven't given me much hope against a very strong team with good momentum. Been to all 3 of those and going this weekend. I hope I am wrong in my predictions and Chavis pulls his D together.

Only way Tennessee wins is if we can control both lines of scrimmage but I know that goes for any game/teams.

agree, we miss harrell and inky, but lets tee it up, and see if the underdog vols can strike!!! you know i have stayed true thru the years, and there were some lean ones in the past 45 or so, but lets not put OUR team down...we are still much better than most of us expected, have played with a lot of heart, and are two or three plays away from undefeated. go vols:salute:

Easy, Chicken Little.

Arkansas has about 1/20 the talent LSU does. They also have Dick for QB, not Jamrcus Russell. I think it will be a war, with our passing game being the difference. Getting Coker back, provided he is healthy, will give us the rushing we need.

Arkansas has 1/20 the talent LSU does? So what does that make Alabama's talent? We eek out a 3 point win in Neyland against Bama and I think Arkansas right now is a much better team than Alabama (yes I know the result of that game). I think we can move the ball on their defense but I don't have a whole lot of confidence at this point in our defense and notably so IMO.

As for Coker's return, I don't think the backs have been the majority of the problem. The line isn't giving them much, though I have noticed too much dancing in the backfield and less hitting the holes (when they are there). Cokers return will be very welcome though. :salute:

What's up Vols. thought i would join you guys on here this week. looks like i have already missed a bunch of trash talking. Well i have to say i think we have one hell of a game on our hands. maybe something like the 98 or 99 game. Definitley not the game in 01. maybe even another OT thriller. BIG chance of rain sat night in Fayetteville.
