If criticism on a big time program message board is to much to bare....due to underachievement....then a MAC board would be a great safe place imo. Not much passion on those boards and mediocrity is celebrated. You won't have to see passionately disappointed fans. I know what my post are and don't have to revisit...but thanks for noticing anyway

What I notice most about your post are you have the sentence structure of a nine year old with matching skill in making a point. Nobody is talking about criticism. He is referencing, as you put it "passionately disappointed fans".

In other words, you the ****ing idiots that pollute game day threads with minute by minute mental breakdowns. You, the stability challenged who have some weird fascinations with exclamation points and periods of ellipsis(that those "..." you really seem to like.")

Yeah I'm not stupid (contrary to popular belief) I know winning nattys are incredibly hard even with great rosters. BUT, if we can't even win the East division, that's weak.

I will give u last year, even tho he got hurt and rushed back, which probably hurt his draft stock. But, if nothing else, in 2015, he was an all-american punt returner.

Since you like math here are some relevant numbers you should be alarmed about.

Tennessee’s average star rating is 87.11. That ranks No. 20 in the nation. By comparison, former Tennessee coach Derek Dooley’s final class had an average star rating of 88.22.

Despite ranking, Tennessee's 2017 recruiting class might not be all that it seems

If you look at the numbers since 1998 there has never been a team that has played for a title that has not had at least two classes that have ranked in the top 10. That's the main thing to keep in mind. Butch will have to sign a top 10 class next year to keep us competitive in other words.

Nah, it's all on the negavols that recruiting is down. Just ask Mike Farrell.

Farrell believes Jones will need to alter his recruiting pitch and results on the field to entice more high-level recruits to Tennessee in the future.

“It’s easier to sell a vision than it is to sell results. When you are taking a job and replacing Derek Dooley, you have a vision that we are not going to be that Tennessee anymore. We are not going to be horrible. You get kids to buy in because Tennessee has so much to offer. It has great fans, facilities and tradition and plays in the SEC. There are so many things to sell, so when your first three classes are home runs it’s not a surprise,” Farrell said.

“But after being predicted to win the SEC East this year and being a dark horse to win it the year before and falling short each time, now kids are like ‘OK. I’m not buying into your vision as much. You have to prove it to me.’ Until they break through and win the SEC East, it’s going to be a struggle in recruiting a little bit more than it was the first couple of years.”

#11 class for 2017. we are stuck with 9-10 win seasons i think. which is better than we were. but not where we want to be forever. need titles.

Difference in most teams between 8-4 and 11-1 or 12-0 is a couple of players become complete difference makers in games, key games. A Peerless Price, for example made big plays all yr in '98. Cam Newton for Auburn, Winston for FSU, etc. Usually its a QB, but sometimes its a RB (Henry for bama LY), WR or Def player or two. Watson with Clemson.

this year's bama team (even though they didnt win it) was the exception to a degree because their defense was so sick most of the season.
