Tennessee probably has more rivals than any other SEC team. Alabama Florida Georgia Kentucky and of course it is Vanderbilt's season. Of these I would say only Alabama has a bigger rival (Auburn) then Tennessee.
Money and expansion are destroying College Football. Tennessee should play Alabama Florida Georgia and Kentucky every year. Vanderbilt should be kicked out of the conference, they bring nothing to the table. I could care less about having Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC, they don't belong. Clemson is a better fit.
Truthfully Missouri has no business in the SEC either. They really bring very little to the table.
So if Saban is correct it is 1-7. It will take 14 years to play all the other conf. teams home and home. Ridiculous and sad. If Tennessee gets Vanderbilt, I will probably throw up at the announcement.
While I'm ranting, let's talk about the stupidity of a 12 team playoff. Name one time in history where the #5, #6, etc. ranked team deserved or was even mentioned as having a chance to be national champion.
How many years of this stupid 12 team playoff will it take before the #5 -#12 team makes the championship game let alone win it. #4 probably has a chance, mainly because it would likely be an SEC team.
This is nothing but about TV money, and a distraction for 3 or 4 weeks. SEC and Big10 will get 2 or 3 teams every year. Assuming these conf exist Pac 10 or 12, Big 12, ACC will fill 4 spots. And of course there will always be room for a 9-3 Notre Dame.
