Georgia was a good barometer of where our football program is in relation to a divisional foe and a regular recruiting rival, Pruitt has not closed the gap against the Georgia program, watching his team play Alabama, you would hope he could steal defensive signals like Kiffin could, but how our program stacks up against a perennial conference and national championship program will be insightful for Tennessee fans, currently Alabama has a program that recruits itself on a national basis, but if Pruitt has not closed the talent, skill, and game management gap with Alabama, the only alternative will be to further shake up his staff to teach, coach and prepare the team game in and game out, but in this conference you cannot expect programs to come back to the pack like Fulmer teams did in the early 2000s, it is the premier college football conference in America and the university should approach that privilege as such and put accomplished people in charge of the program that can compete on all levels with the best in the conference.
